TL;DR (if you don’t have 5 minutes for the video)

No changes for current members → You’re vested in at your existing rate ($5 or $10).

New pricing for future members → Tier 1 = $6, Tier 2 = $12.

Free members thinking about upgrading? → Now is the time to lock in before the change. If you're tier 1 and want tier 2, you should upgrade before the 1st.

Important note → If you cancel and come back later, you’ll rejoin at the new price point.

Growth recap:

3 years ago: $5 tier = one weekly reaction. LOL that is wild

1 year in: first official schedule with 8 weekly reactions. (1:42 in video)

Today: massive output increase—still at the same old price points.

Full video has transparency, details, and a fun look back at how the Patreon evolved.

But can I pay for membershps in Dogecoin?

Prim

Glad I saw this notification pop up and noticed BECK is on the line up, best time to come back!!

GoatZ

How will downgrading work in terms of pricing? Just upgraded from tier 2 to tier 3 just for Monster but will probably move back down to tier 2 again after it ends. Will I pay the $12 price then?

That is a great question. My understanding is that if you are a current member and don't leave, you will have access to your current member prices. Down or up. ChatGPT told me the same as well but AI is not always correct. The verbiage in Patreon itself really only refers to "new members" joining having a difference in price, so my assumption is that it will be correct. Chances are you might like the next title(s) after Monster 👀🤘🤣

Album requests I feel could go great with tier 3 or tier 4 depending on length to get the most bang for your buck 🤔 or a new tier with a price range between 3 and 4. In addition, just throwing this out there, and not sure if this has been suggested before as I'm not up to date with discord/patreon discussions; Maybe consider adding movies to tier 3 or a new tier, in between anime/shows? For example, say after finishing Monster, or any anime or show in tier 3, dedicate time on the day you're most free to just watch a requested movie? Then move on to the next requested anime/show the week after that? Or a movie once a month or something. i feel this will help with covering movies that people keep requesting like the remaining Violet Evergarden movies etc. Not sure how viable this would be, but maybe just something to think about 🤔 if not then I digress. I'll keep supporting you as your are definitely one of my top reactors to watch.

The movie idea in between is a cool idea. The album can't possibly be on Tier 3 or 4 tho... LOL tier 5 is currently ONE song. I can't do 10-15 songs for a quarter of the cost.

Arsenic805

LMAO I forgot about tier 5 *cries in poor* fair. Definitely tier 5 and above then lol But yeah it'd be cool to see your reaction to certain movies, assuming they're not egregiously long 😆 (maybe 2 hour cap as most anime movies don't go over that. *cough* Demon Slayer *cough*)

James Long

I really like the movie idea as well. It allows for more variety.

This probs isnt the place to recommend it, but with Hades 2 just being announced and coming out next week, the Hades OST might be worth checking out further! I assume they wouldnt strike it so maybe so ka-ching there for ya too.

I'm a tier 3 but I sometimes downgrade to tier 1 or 2 when i don't find the tier 3 is worth it (then eventually come back to tier 3 when i find the shows interesting), do you know if the pricing for tier 1 and 2 will be affected in this specific case?

Xer0FeaR

On the first, anytime you change Tiers to 1 or 2, you will use the new pricing. Although T3 isnt changing, T1 and T2 are, so you would use the new pricing.

Xer0FeaR

Hey DRT, I just wanted to say thank you for putting in a lot of effort for our entertainment. Have a great day. ^-^

drumrolltonyreacts

If you are a current member, you will keep current member prices going up or down in tier. That's my understanding of it. The price would only change if you left and came back because then it treats you as a new member.

Phil

you put out so much content its still a great deal

Kevin Baker

I miss depression Mondays. (86)

Jhon 1479

ok got it, thanks for the explanation!

Cyther

It is what it is. As long as there is value in the tiers, there's no problem.

Red Menace

thank you i had the same question, because i was thinking of getting a tier 3 sub for a month or 2, so i could binge all the shows, then return back to tier 2, just not at a point where i could longtime justify a tier 3 sub financially.

Red Menace

i like the movie idea as well, i had floated it in the past but i know you had said that at the time you didn't have time for it, and even if you cut other content you had so much that it would go to other things, but if content creation is becoming your main full time thing then it might be worth a re-visit, would defiantly enjoy it, either way though.

Red Menace

would love the album idea, first suggestion Mac DeMarco one wayne g , or maybe 310: ΩΣPx0(2^18×5^18)pkkk by Bull of Heaven LMAO

Red Menace

but ya no, i understand and accept the price change speaking for myself, it makes sense, especially if your going from content creation being a part time side job to full time main job, also with inflation and everything... and i don't want to under or overstate it any more than you, but it is $1, fully keeping in mind that the dif between teir 2 and 3 is $5 and that would be tough for me to longterm justify.

Plospher

ill let my patreon cancel and then subscribe again after a day. hopefully that helps.

Red Menace

unfortunately i can conclusively state that if you up to tier 3 from 2, if you return to 2 its at the new $12, so you do lose your pricing if you change your tier
