You never know, I get the first couple episodes are hard to watch but the animation is beautiful and sound track is on point honestly feels almost like a frieren type show at points. It’s very hard hitting with topics too that I don’t think a lot of shows do. You never know what flavors are in the world if you don’t try different foods. Also I know he hated re:zero but jobless has so much more love and care imo put into if that is what your comparing it to. But to each there own

no i agree, i love the show, i love breaking good stories, and your supposed to cringe and feel bad at those episodes, its well written, i love teh soundtrack too, and the animation is, dead stop, one of the best animation's ive seen in decades. i just more meant that tony didn't like re-zero, or other shows in a similar vane, and has stated, both in videos, and on this patreon, that he would never watch it, and siince hes checking here for suggestions maybe there was another show you think he would like so you don't feel like your suggestion doesn't matter lol, that being said, things change, and im not saying you can't say what you want. out of curiosity, have you caught up to the end? and what did you think of the school arc??

For Uncle I'm actually gonna throw out Record of Lodoss War which I'm surprised I've never seen recommended since it's an anime from the early 90's that was actually based on a DnD campaign. Far from a perfect show but entertaining if you're watching through the lens of a DnD nerd. As for Dandadan I'll just keep pushing Girls and Panzer lol

I'd also say, for D and D esq anime, far away Paladin, or goblin slayer, since they were made by people who couldn't find people to play dnd with. haven't seen or heard of record of lodoss, what it about?

It's just your typical heroes journey story. A standard DnD party on an adventure to defeat a great evil sort of thing. Like I said it's far from perfect. It's a very simple and straight forward show but it's kind of neat that it's actually based on a real campaign.

not everything needs to be complex and super deep, there is a reason pure "entertainment" exists, and that sound like that, id say goblin slayer is like that, but on the darker side, like the name suggests, its just slayin goblins lol.

Hey Tony! suggestion wise, I think the ones mentioned above are good; but, I feel checking out some of the staples of the medium/art could be a way to enrich and appreciate anime as a whole. I am surprised you have not checked out many of the classic shonen (action) Personally, I dont really care for Naruto( made for a younger demographic) or Bleach (writing is very bad imo) but I think checking out Hunter x Hunter or One Piece could be good at some point. I know one piece is scary in length but I genuinely believe it is one of the greatest fictional stories every told. It mirrors real world events and is a deeply political show about revolution, equality and fighting against oppression. I feel like that is more important now then ever. Also! the strawhat jolly roger has now been used as a primary symbol in a couple revolutions in the past couple months. (Primarily Nepal and Indonesia) [Nepal went as far as hanging it up at newly taken over parliment) I doubt you will choose it haha, so im just throwing out Made in Abyss again. (watch it, the abyss is calling you :P)
