Our boy Detlef is coming to life in a good way! LOL let's gooooo #finally Coach had some great quotes and a generally positive pacing during the course correction segment. That will be the long-run adaptation that can keep them in this for real. We shall see 👀

Ahhhhhh I love this show man

I think most fans of Tendo would be like "yeah" if someone said he is punchable. It like how Tsukki fans are with people calling him a jerk. Like, that's our little creature right there.

For the whole unprepped question thingy: Shiratorizawa was also regarded as the best team in the region, and facing off against them sooner or later was gonna be the case no matter the interactions between our MC and Ushiwaka. In that case, I think if the coach and the players were even more thorough with prepping, as well as adressing things earlier, they would have been more ready for a goated lefty in Ushiwaka, so I do agree with you on that regard. But imo, you also have to take into consideration that coach only just started coaching and our players and managers are still teenagers, so to overlook things, prioritize other things and not look too far ahead is realistic… But ig in the end, it really is just that the Haikyuu director constructed the story in such a way, so we get more in-depth analysis screen time (holy word) during the game for entertainment reasons.

Btw, the triple block at 25:45, the ones where Tsukki was like: "let me set the timing for them" are not always meant to block him. They are there to narrow the course so he can only hit one way. That way is easier for Nishinoya to recieve it. They're going to use this type of block a lot in the show, so I wanted to point it out.

SimplySora

Olympic players really do hit the ball that hard. Probably harder

SKAOG

6:03 the OST is "Guess Monster" by Asami Tachibana (yet another simple yet straightforward and appropriately named Haikyuu OST)

SKAOG

9:23 this OST is "The Destroyer" by Asami Tachibana. I believe this first played in the previous match against Aoba Johsai

SKAOG

13:12 the OST is "Just 1 Point" by Yuki Hayashi.

Cyther

My boy Tendo still taking hits. :(

watch Detlef slowly become Tony’s favorite character🤣

BlakStatik23

One things about the Haikyuu fandom is we love our quirky characters. That’s why people can love Tendo bc yea he’s a razz and he’s weird asf but it just makes him more loveable. He’s definitely one of the most entertaining characters this season through the game. It’s also why ppl love Bokuto (Hey Hey Hey, Diva guy) because even tho he’s a diva and melts down at the slightest possible thing it’s just funny and very entertaining lol.

Adam

I'm calling Washijo "Coach Eyebrows" from now on. I'm so used to anime designs nowadays, I never really paid attention until Tony mentioned it. 😂

Isaac Noël

Tony's like "Nobody, calls me chicken" lmao as someone with a short fuse myself, that shit only ever gets you in trouble

Inosek

The thing with the shittalking in this show is that its not out of hate or to taunt its more like quirky characters getting exctited about the strong opponents. u know, sports anime are like unrealistic passion overload.

Tyler Bowler

I agree with you Tony they definitely purposefully gave Tendo a punch able face.

P_ateric

Tendo’s face is gonna stay punchable😂

Cody

Next week we get my peak of the show❤️🥽

I joined your Patreon since you started it back in 2022 or 23, was it, I don't remember. It's been a long and wild ride. Since then, I've been waiting to see your reaction to the coming episodes in the next week, even when you weren't watching Haikyuu, and I was still waiting patiently in my corner just waiting for Haikyuu to be on here, and 3 years later. WE ARE FINALLY HERE. WE HAVE FINALLY MADE IT TO THE PEAK THAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO WITNESS NEXT WEEK. CINEMA. CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK!!!
