Timeline-wise, we've been going further and further backwards, right? So, this must be the old E-Soul, who got killed and replaced by the new one. I feel like old E-Soul was presented as kind of a victim in that arc, getting replaced by a new young guy. But if this is the kind of stuff he got up to, maybe he had it coming! Same with Nice. I figured he jumped off that roof because of some trauma or overwork, so I felt bad for him. But here he is trying to assassinate people!

You might already be clear on it, but Nice appears because these events take place when he was still alive, before Lin Ling impersonates him in the first episodes after he jumps off. This also takes place after Yang Cheng confiscates the title of E-Soul in the E-Soul story, but I think you knew that. I know the timeline can be hard to follow when you have so many shows on the go. Excited for your reaction to the rest of the season

Hm, but during the E-Soul arc, new E-Soul and his love interest wanted to go to the Cyan concert, and Cyan was an adult. But here she's still a child, right?

During new E-Soul arc (year 34) there was 2 years since Cyan had became a hero. Remember that her concert was at the same moment as the two E-Souls were fighting. So here (Year 39) Cyan is 21 years old. So, this E-Soul is the new E-Soul and Nice is Nice, not Lin Ling, since Lin Ling comes at year 41.

Thanks for the detailed explanation! I thought for some reason Cyan was an adult during the E-Soul arc and not an adult here. That's what threw me off.

they already have trackers you can give people irl, its called smartphones, all you have to do is ask for location sharing to be on, and if you say no, "why? what you trying to hide? if you got nothin to hide then you have no reason to say no do you?" ughhh
