i'm glad they decided to start including the narration at some point! the manga has a lot of text boxes with info on ainu culture, or even just historical and cultural context of japan at the time, so it was sorely missed from earlier episodes. fun fact, the group that did the fan translation for the manga would include a big page at the end of each chapter with in-depth info for further context on things/people/places mentioned in the chapter
