If you're talking about seeing incidental die roll results in BG3, if you're playing on PC with mouse and keyboard you can mouse over the text in the combat log and it will show you breakdowns of dice rolls for each interaction. Like with those failed perception checks, if you mouse over the "failed" text in the combat log it shows you what you rolled and what modifiers were applied.

Maybe if you log out not in an inn your character doesn’t disappear immediately?

At least in real MMOs, this is something that people do to avoid them, but most people won't for a myriad of reasons, whether it's pride, thinking they can win, or just not considering the option if they're panicking.

Hey, so in BG3 if you click on a little button on the right bottom of the screen a window pops up, wich is a combat log where you can exactly see what the enemy's rollt in their saving throw's or attack role's, same as you. try it out! 😉
