Ive been around for years watching ur content, i almost never comment but i have to do it now man, if im alive to this day and im successful and healthy to this day is thanks to this anime dude, life changing and very inspiring for a teenager with a very hard life in a complicated country (me :'D)... I have a feeling youll end up liking it enough to put it in your top 5 favorite anime. Maybe im too optimistic but thats my opinion haha. As a fan and amateur boxer for about 10 years (ii currently only do BJJ, not boxing anymore), i feel the need to share some fascinating and interesting facts with people who arent too involved in combat sports. Remember when ippo catch those 10 falling leaves with his jab? Fun fact about that: it actually looks like a total anime cliche, but its rooted in real boxing science. Trainers actually use drills like that to build insane fast-twitch muscle fibers and visual reaction time. Legendary fighters like Muhammad Ali used to practice literally slapping flies out of the air, and other pros use tennis balls or coin catching to train the exact same reflex-to-jab connection that Ippo is building with those leaves. About Ali training... fly reaction times are five times faster than humans. He must predict movement, not just react. Success requires exact timing and highly localized hand-eye coordination and tracking a tiny, erratic target builds intense spatial awareness and tracking skills. Technically, this anime has a ton of information like this, and as a geek in this subject, i feel a responsibility to share these little details. If its not too much trouble, ill keep doing this as Ippo learns new things and theres some interesting tidbit or fact that might be of interest. Of course, only if people want to read it...i dont want to be a bore, so let me know if you dont like these comments... Hope you really enjoy the ride! :))

Man Ippo is still so fucking good. I forgot how tight the pacing is from the get go; it's a really great introduction honestly.
