This show has sooooo much detail I'm barely catching on to stuff like the motorcycle brooms. I just realized, Shin's power is to slice people up while keeping them alive (in trash bags). He didn't just cut his arms off, he used magic on them because he was barely discovering his powers and was looking for his "smoke pipes", that's why his arms were sliced up into thin slices starting at the fingers and leading up to those pipes. I was so confused when I watched it and just wrote it off as anime logic.
