I think everyone has similar reactions going from Greed Island to this Arc. It feels like such a departure from everything we’ve had so far. But in a good way.

Hawksbane

To me I feel like the beginning of this arc feels strange because we weren't led into it like we where with some of the other arcs. Yorknew auction was something we knew about towards the end of the exam due to the quattro's promise to meet each other in Yorknew. Greed island was something that was talked about after heavens tower arena & all throughout the Yorknew Auction.

Jace

Best arc for sure. No rush to come around on it, but very excited for when you do since there is no doubt you will.

Mickash

Rewatching through this is really making me appreciate how stellar the ost is across the board. It's all quite distinct too, so it adds a lot to the experience.

Walt D

Yeah. Give me a minute. I will word my take on it so that I don't piss anyone off or make it seem like I'm 💩 on an arc. I will expand on what you were saying at my next drop.

Jet Man

"Yeah, the Double D drug has incapacitated many humans. A lot of men in particular."

Walt D

I really wonder what your opinion will be on the best arc. On the internet in general, it has been a debate between this arc and YorkNew, with Greed Island and another future arc right there after. However, I'm also factoring in what you say when it comes to music. That complicated/hardest to play isn't always the best overall. When dealing with the masses, "best" overall can often get confused with many other amazing qualities or attributes. I wonder if that will apply here as we go through this arc and the next and get the prospective of a professional with opinions that are more definitive. This arc has a lot of moving parts, philosophical angles, all four seasons of feelings, even musical pieces complimented by you. But does that make it the best or the best in your opinion? 🤔 We shall see.

From this episode, only the penguin ant is shown to be capable of reading books and I think it kind of make sense if he was born with traits from an einstein-like human with high IQ

Isaac Noël

This is like the first actual animal hunt in the whole story lmao

Luca

depature is also the name of the opening lol

TheGoblerTrainsMovinIn

Yeah I don't think anyone loved the arc at this early point, hopefully you'll enjoy it more later but you never know, it just might not be for you :) It's considered one of the best stories in anime sure, but so is FMAB and we all know you didn't fuck with that lol

Titus

Sure, but inferring for the whole series until now you can conclude the term "hunt" in hunter is used very broadly. Like how kurapika is a bounty hunter going after the troupe. The cooking hunter from the second phase of the exam. Satotz & Ging being archaeological hunters. I believe tsezguerra was stated to be a money hunter playing greed island solely for the 50B jenny payout. With many more examples not mentioned
