Project Kamp winter update #2 (Patreon)

Hey friends,

Second winter update! First of all, hope you had good time with your close ones, and that you had a nice 2025 entering 🥳. About the land itself, Basekamp feels a bit lonely in winter. Some of us left and some stayed in the land (at least most of the time). Despite the progress made, this months still a bit rough to spend here. Sunny days are ok, but temperatures get below zero at night and it freezes. The trailer's insulation works pretty good, but still a challenge to go for a wee in the middle of the night🥶.

Whereas spikey booshes survive the roughest days without a problem...

Good we have stoves! Wood is a valuable resource for heating around here, and we have quite a lot left from mimosas cut during the season and from other trees after prunning. We actually have a lot of wood, so we told our neighbours to take what they need and to help us pile the rest to make a big bonfire.

Our neighbour George is a master driving tractors.

On the office backend we are so happy many people signed up for Patreon, and Julie had a lot of letters and badges to send (normally it would be Rita doing this, but she's been quite busy lately😉)...

Here a little update from our side, as many of you got very excited about the last 3 second of the final update this season.
It’s done. The baby of Rita and Dave is born, on Christmas Day. Here name is Mia. Everything went great and everyone is doing well! We’re still not sure how to integrate such a personal thing in a very public project like Project Kamp.
But we liked the idea of giving this special update to our safe space here for our beloved Patreons. Hope you had some nice holiday gifts as well 🙂
