Project Kamp and The Treasure Stone (Patreon)

People ask us about Project Kamp all the time. It’s been over two years since releasing the project online. So here is a quick update.

We spent much of 2019 searching for the right piece of land in Portugal with numerous field trips with Katharina, Adrian, Dave and Mattia. Up and down the country talking to existing communities, visiting lands, talking to owners and municipalities. 

And after about a year of searching, a couple of van breakdowns and endless Pastéis de Nata we finally put our eyes on this beautiful piece of Portugal between Lisbon and Porto. 

The land is about 10 hectares and checks all of our requirements, including a massive treasure stone, a little river flowing by and two ruins to build our future workspace and common kitchen. 

We have actually made up our minds. We put together some saving, inheritance and crypto money and are in the process of completing the purchase and all the legal work in order to move in as soon as possible. 

We were already gonna go to Portugal to sign the contract and start moving in at the beginning of April but the CoronaVirus pandemic, again, decided it wasn't gonna be the case and all our plans got cancelled. 

So we’re fervently waiting. Our goal is still to purchase the land by the end of 2020 and begin work the following year.
