December WIPs and Behind the Scenes (Patreon)

1. T'Pring and Nurse Chapel should absolutely get together and shit talk their ex-boyfriend (Spock) and then do sapphic things together.

What do you think of fanart that looks like the actors? I haven't really come to a conclusion. Sometimes I find it creepy, sometimes I don't mind it. I won't use actor's faces for smut, but what about everything short of smut? Is it a picture of Kirk and Spock or Ethan Peck and Paul Wesley? I'm still figuring out the ethics of creating fan art of movies and shows where the faces belong to real people.

2. From the vault! A patron suggested that it might be fun to see some of the old pieces I don't circulate these anymore. I'd be doing digital art for about 2 months at this point and hadn't figured out a design for any of the characters. This is James/ Lily/ Hermione celebrating Christmas.

3. Sometimes ideas just don't work. I wanted to frame it as looking through a shelf or window with the menorah in the foreground, and it just looks awkward. Turns out there aren't a lot of shelves in the middle of a room on a starship. I like the figures so I plan to rework it into something else.

4. Ever drawn something at 3am, wake up the next morning, see it, and think 'What the fuck was this supposed to be??' Your guess is as good as mine.

5. Another from the vault! From my "I'm Obsessed with English Hats" era. Sevmione doesn't seem to be as popular a ship nowadays, but it'll always have a special place for me. This was a commission for a fanfic ft. Hermione, Severus, their children and Eileen Prince.

6. A sneak peak at the pet project that made me want to turn my iPad into a frisbee. I'm making pattern brushes! And boy howdy did the process humble me. I'll figure it out.... eventually.
