Cool movie. Entertaining. No complaints really but it's not reinventing the wheel lol if this came out today though it would sweep the academy awards with how plain and uninspired cinema has been the last decade or so

Madmanmarz1981

I do agree about "Plain and uninspired " for the Big Studio's and even a few mid-league studios They have been for quite some time. Although there have been some gem's here and there in my favorite genre's.(Horror/Sci-Fi) I mean , Godzilla Minus One was , IMO , an amazing film. (And the Minus Color version is , sometimes , even better) And Sinners was a wonderful surprise. And of course Prey , and Predator : Killer of Killers. And all of those were smaller budget films with some lesser known new(ish) writers/directors as well. Here's to the hope that "They" figure this shit out.: ] *Sorry if I ranted ; ]

Surprised as well how Dex and this happened: ] Weird , but cool: ] I have not seen this since it came out , and don't really remember much about it. And since the Dex mention thing happened , figure I'd give it a re-watch with ya Sir. Checklist Time - Fatty rolled and ready - Check - Beer freezer cold - Check - Smokes and Zippo - Check Ok, let's get our Sci-Fi on!! Peace " I knew a guy had a car like that once. Fuckin' bastard killed himself in it. Son of a bitch was so mean, you could've poured boiling water down his throat and he would've pissed ice cubes! "

Charles Clover

There were a couple of alternate endings as well.

Annd we're done!! This was a total blast of a reaction Sir!! Having not seen it in over 20 years , it had me sucked in as well.(Although not quite to your degree: ]) It actually reminded me of The Flashpoint Paradox from DCAU. Overall , it was a great time , and a much better film than I remember. As always Sir , I thank you for sharing with us: ] Can't wait ta see what Monday's Movie drop will be! Peace " Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son. "

Movie Request Time Again!! John Carpenter's The Thing - 1982 - Director - John Carpenter - Staring - Kurt Russell - Keith David - Sci-Fi/Horror - A research team in Antarctica encounter something non-human. It's no secret this film was considered a "flop" when it came out. It had to compete against E.T. , and many other "less bleak" Sci-Fi Films that summer. However , when released on cable , network TV , and good ol VHS it started it's true fan base. And from there , the true respect , and admiration of what an amazing film it is. Many filmmakers and writers have noted its influence on their work, and it has been referred to in other media such as television and video games. And it has since been reappraised as one of the best science fiction and horror films ever made. I do hope you will consider this film for a reaction very . very soon. Thank you very much Sir : ]

Interesting. I'll have to look for them. Thanks: ]

You got it backwards. She wasn’t the toxic one.

Alyssa Dyson

I dont think thats what he meant but I could be wrong. I think he just meant she was the common denominator to fix all of the crazyness.

slimsycentaur37

You come off as taking personal offense to a simple movie critique brother. Sorry if I hurt your feelings but you clearly didn't understand my comment.

TigerMyth

She wasn't toxic. Her father was. He destroyed their lives. By being mean to her, she chose to live with her mother and not her father thus she had a happy life. The sick twisted father caused all of the issues. Living with the mother solved them. The director's cut is dark. He goes back to his birth and strangles himself in his mothers womb.

Mister_Bleak

god! i forgot about this one! great movie!

Triforce of Shadows

They are WILD! (Way Darker Ending, and the original intention.)

Triforce of Shadows

He was the bad element in their lives. Also movies 2 and 3 aren't like this one, but I enjoy them. They are both not related to this character really and are a different take on the concept's rules.
