Excited for this but have you seen "Batman begins" before? because this is a trilogy and this is part two of the trilogy. which means you might've skipped part one which you are supposed to watch before this. If that's the case, then you are watching the movies out of order. Would still love for you to react to the movie "batman begins" for added context on how we got here.

This is Christopher Nolan movie btw., most of them will blow your mind. Tenet not in a good way (not sure what he smoked, but it tried to be way smarter than it ended up). Played with entropy and ended up with a predictable dumb movie. Activision was less predictable with their Singularity game (before they went full Call of Duty).

Idk how this is just now dawning on me--Mr. Lau is the same actor who played Jia Sidao in Marco Polo, Chin Han. Pretty badass villain. I'd say you should watch it, Mr. L. Boyd, but it got cut after 2 seasons. Those 2 seasons slap, though, if you ever have the inclination 👌

110% worth watching! Ledger is fantastic , Bale makes a good Bruce/Batman , Oldman is my favorite Gordon , and Nolan directs it all wonderfully. : ]

Personally, I would be totally fine with you only watching the dark night and then moving on to something else, because the other 2 movies are both underwhelming when you've seen the dark knight. When it comes to other DC movies then Zack Snyder's Justice League: (2021) is pretty cool (don't watch the 2017 version). And if you watch that one you probably wanna watch some movies in preparation. Especially Man of Steel (2013) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

You've started in the middle of a trilogy, though this might actually work. You should watch Batman Begins, then Dark Knight Rises. Several flashbacks and plot points in Rises are connected to Begins.

I could add tons of trivia etc about this one , but shall refrain as I don't want to take up that much space. lol I will say this makes me wish you would do The DCAU films , but I don't expect that will happen as your plate is very full. And just to have it said , the Nolan Trilogy is not part of the DCCU. No connection to other DC films. couple of interesting facts: In the scene where the Joker waits and the hospital explosions pause...that wasn't scripted. The pyrotechnics had a fault for a moment. Also, the actor who played the Joker died before editing was finished on the film. Love this movie though.

You’re right, the actor playing joker did win awards, it’s now considered one of the most iconic roles of all time but he’d never live to see it, passing away of overdose before this movie released. But he was very method and said this role caused him severe insomnia

His death was officially ruled an overdose on a mixture of 6 different medications with two unprescribed drugs that when combined together are considered lethal (hydrocodone and oxy). While Mary Kate Olsen was cleared of any wrongdoing, questions around why the first call after Ledger's body was discovered was to Olsen and not the police, why Olsen had her own private security go to the scene after she was called, as well as her refusal to cooperate with the probe on how he got the drugs.

Mr Boyd that vehicle is the Batmobile aka The Tumbler. They destroyed it early in this movie but in Batman Begins you see it in action alot

I think in one of your other reactions there was a reference to brokeback boys. Heath Ledger (the joker) was the OG brokeback boy 🤣. He was nominated for an oscar for his lead role in Brokeback Mountain and won an oscar for his supporting role in the dark knight (I personally wouldn't call it a supporting role though)

When he started fanboying over the lambo I was lmao knowing what was about to happen. also be prepared for a flood of comments from idiots particularly on youtube who are going to tell you 2 lies in this particular order. 1. the hospital explosion scene with the joker was improv, that the actor didn't want to ruin the take so he kept messing with the device and stayed in character. ---that is a lie, it was filmed like that on purpose, the delay was intentional. the only improv was maybe him messing with the on screen "trigger" but the explosion delay was proper. 2. that this movie messed the joker's actor, heath ledger up so much that he ended up committing suicide via overdose. ---this one used to be super popular back in the day, he did not he was fine, he straight up filmed a whole other movie up until his death. there were like 8 months of post production on this movie before he died. other actors shut this theory down repeatedly. MJW did an interview and mentioned this in particular a few years back.

I looked it up for you. Yes, the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 in The Dark Knight was indeed smashed in a stunt scene. No CGI or fake replacement car.

I think you would really enjoy the film "Casino Royale" (2006) starring Daniel Craig. It kicks off the modern day James Bond movie franchise. Lots of dope cars and cool camera work. Highly recommended.

They made 10 of the batmobile and sold them last year. One was famously bought by Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow. They're supposed to ship this year
