Do you think that was a better fight than Naruto & Neji?

Thanks for watching.

I believe the point of avoiding war is to save innocent people who had nothing to do with the ninja world on either side. You will go more into how other villages operate. It’s like the Mist village and their graduation exam. They consider that normal while the Leaf find it evil.

Yes my boy, you are 1000% correct. How on earth is Neji's dad's backstory actually supposed to help. I mean its anime so anything goes but realistically it makes no sense. He made a "free choice" to do what he was already mandated to do by being in the branch family. He still died to protect the head family. Even if he did it willingly, it doesn't change the destiny. By right, this shouldn't have changed Neji.

If I was the hokage I would go to war. I'm not going to let a village get away with a trick like that. You commit a crime, get killed, and the person who killed you has to die too? Nope. Not on my watch. I would do a surprise attack the same day that demand was made.

So the subtitle is misleading in one instance. This is the first time I have seen the subtitle say that Shikamaru thought of the next trick 200 times. It has always said, he has already thought of the next 200 moves. The subtitles get a bit weird from time to time.

Mski & Sisi

Yeah, right? This attack on the Hyuga Clan, especially on a kid, should without a doubt be seen as a declaration of war or at least an intent to do so by the land of lighting.

Mski & Sisi

We have to stick with those subtitles until we get to Shippuden. OG Naruto is unavailable on any streaming platform in our country and we're forced to watch from pirated torrents.

Shikamaru the 🐐 and my favorite character in the show! He gave up because he ran out of chakra btw. Even though he had planned for the next 200 moves, he didn’t have the chakra to pull those plans anyways. Shikamaru is smart enough to know when to fight and when to back down, and a one on one fight without chakra is a suicide mission. His shadow possession jutsu is not ideal for one on one fights, but in missions with teams of three or more ninjas he can be quite a menace because he knows how to utilize everyone’s abilities in the most efficient way.

Mski & Sisi

Huh, really? I would never assume the shadow possession jutsu drains a lot of chakra. Kinda makes sense but also a bit unbalanced compared to the others who spam a lot of jutsus.

William

It's partly related to what you said (I'm guessing this is Mski replying to me) about the fights being inconsistent and the power system being a bit iffy. It's one of the big faults in Naruto and Shippuden. Some things make absolutely no sense but serve as a way for the plot to move forward... Along the years, as we grow up and find these imbalances, we create our own theories on why things happen the way the happen and that is how the fandom comes up with crazy explanations for everything. For example, I like to believe Shikamaru hasn't trained as much as the others because he is really lazy, thus his chakra reserves are not as developed as the other genin (and obviously not even close to Naruto who has his own chakra reserves + the nine tails chakra). That is to me why he can't sustain his special jutsu as much. That could be the reason, or simply because the author wanted... 😂

Leonardo da Vinci had an estimated IQ between 180 and 220. It is extremely rare but there are people out there with an IQ this high today.
