After reading a friend's very well done X-Men (Charles x Eric) doujinshi (don't even ask xD), I felt the strong urge again to play around with screentones and also trying to learn how to ink with non-pencil brushes!

It was fun as always, but so so hard 😭 I have so much respect for artists who are so skilled at this type of art.

I still enjoy looking at the result and one day I swear I'm gonna make a short comic in this style again 🤧

The motif itself is going to be relevant in chapter 9 of Shallow Sleep btw, so keep it in your memory going forward! I'm getting a bit ahead of myself, since I'm still working on chapter 8 but there are upcoming sceenes that I've been waiting to draw for like 6 years now, so I can't help myself, LOL.

Also there's a 2nd version of this image, which one do you like more? 🫠 I think I prefer the darker one, but the second version shows a bit more of the details, hmmmmm
