So this video is my second time playing with discs with Denver, with the first session going pretty similarly.

The goal of the two toy game is to have him switch to whatever toy is "active" or the one that I am actively playing with by making the toy that is in his mouth "dead" or as little fun as possible, with the "active" toy as fun as possible. Notice I am teaching him to drop a toy without conflict, and will eventually add in the cue "switch" to switch to whatever other toy I have. This is an important skill for the disc games we will eventually play together.

This game also teaches him to track and bite a disc without actually throwing the disc. Notice when I do thow a disc, I'm also throwing tiny rollers, and not discs in the air. This also teaches him to track and bite the disc in motion, at a level that is safe for puppies.

That's awesome! This video is the best way to wake up in the morning. 🎉🎉

I love that we are on the same page with the disc toy - we've been playing this exact game, down to the rolling it instead of throwing it. I also like that you're using yellow toys, which is one of the few colors that dogs can see.

He did not "jump" you. He followed and when you stopped he just looked up at you waiting for you. I am sure he wouldn't have waited long before "ATTACK" overcame him though.
