This is great, my dog is 20 months and more focused on food than toys and I have to work to get her excited about a toy. She will play in the house with me like this for a little bit, less with balls and more with a stuffy to tug. When we go to the park she is not interested at all in toys and I can’t get her to play with me. If there aren’t other dogs to play with I can’t get her to run . Do you have any suggestions. And any recommendations for more exciting toys?

I need to use these strategies and see if we can get some kind of retrieve going with my SD (5 yrs old). It wasn't as needed in the past, but after a spine problem started a year ago, it would sure be helpful to have him willing to pick things up at times. (His food interest has improved some, but that's still a challenge with training.)

Also check out my Deep Dive series for a more structured and shaped retrieve (that still uses some of these exercises)
