I love this trick/behavior for both pet and service dogs - mostly because the dogs love it! It's a great trick to use towards your trick titles, and also a really useful behavior out in public to keep your dog safe in crowds (and their tails from being stepped on!).

Reminder that Patreon members get AD-FREE access to videos the day before their public release!

You can help out the channel by going back once it's live (Thursday afternoons) and leaving a comment on youtube. This helps others find the video :)

Thank you all for your support!

Also, stay tuned for the migraine alert video next week with a Patreon EXCLUSIVE video to go along with it. The migraine video is one of my FAVORITE of the year, full of amazing nuggets from a first-time service dog trainer.

And I have another surprise coming at the end of the month, so stay tuned! <3

Hi where is a video on paw up. Starting a dog on the feed bins?

Julia

Bear started doing this on his own, but that was problematic so I discouraged the behavior. Now I can see how this can benefit our service dog training by making me feel safer in certain situations. Thank you

DOGGY•U

Putting it under stimulus control (on cue) will help with him trying to offer it at inconvenient times.

Thank you for the clarity on this topic

Hey, do you have a link for the foot target you using that’s not the feed bucket? It looks more solid and a littler lower for dogs that are either heavier or just to need to start with a lower target.
