Thumbnails & Script | Episode 15 (Patreon)

This episode was not as time-consuming as Episode 14 but it had its own challenges!

I find myself really spending so long on panels with multiple characters in it, and when all the girls are together it really slows me down. Even using 3D models takes a long time, since you have to pose them and make sure everyone is proportionate. I'm still so happy to have this feature though, it genuinely is a lifesaver for big panels with all the girls in it!

I don't know if it's just me, but the moment I need to attach legs to a drawing I fail 😂 It always ends up looking disproportionate at first! So then I spend way too much time fixing things, this is where 3D models are just the best! It takes some time to pose but it's so worth it! I can just go straight to Lineart and skip the sketch. Drawing hair and clothes on them is also fun haha.

A fun fact about this episode, I completely misinterpreted Bloom and Flora's room for months 💀 If you remember, I posted some of these panels before in the Q&A and on Patreon to show the new outfits. I thought the entrance to Bloom's room was next to her bed for the longest time!!! I thought they added the wrong door, but no it was just a closet next to Bloom's bed! The entrance is on Flora's side of the room, like omg 😭I did notice this in season 1 episodes 2 and 3, but I genuinely thought that they animated the layout of the room wrong in those first episodes 😂 That is until season 3, where you can clearly see the Winx come in from the other side of the room. I felt so bamboozled, betrayed, and befuddled! The only reason I noticed in time was because I happened to rewatch Winx last month 😅 I had to redraw Stella's head from when she entered the room, I had her looking left but Bloom's bed was actually in front of her🥹

Can't blame me for this one, Rainbow had a tendency to be inconsistent with this show okay 😂

As for the script, there is not much additional content in there this time. The episode was pretty straightforward and I was still practising my writing! And, as you can see the Valtor bit was indeed a very last-minute addition, it was not even included in the script 🙈(There wasn't even a sketch for the last page lol, since it was added at the last moment I just went for it as quick as I could haha)
