A very special episode with a very special character finally making her debut!

I know everyone has been waiting for Daphne, but so far she wasn't in season 3 at all. (Which is honestly really weird, but okay Rainbow) And we've been following canon until very recently, so there wasn't much reason to add her.

So now that we've almost completely moved on from the canon story of season 3, I felt like it was the right time to introduce our favourite nymph!

I'm not too sure yet how big of a part she will play, but I hope to make her a recurring character at least. 🥰

Now on to the discussion of this episode!

I always played around with the idea that Valtor and Daphne met back in the day; it seemed like such an interesting dynamic to explore! Plus, it seemed like a great opportunity to show an alive Daphne and a "younger" Valtor, right before he was sent to Omega. I always wondered about his part in the destruction of Domino and his feelings towards the matter. Just how did everything go down? And was Valtor only sent to Omega because of his previous crimes and affiliation with the witches, or is there more to it?

I just adore deepening the lore of these things! Winx left us with so many questions, which in part I think is a good thing! Would I have loved more detailed explanations in the show? Yes, haha. But it's also incredibly fun to work it out myself!

I wonder how many of you were gasping when you saw Valtor was the reason that Daphne was able to get Bloom away in time!😆 I was actually really debating this plot point for a while, but honestly it was just too good not to add it in! The reason I was doubting it is because of the annoying ass people who are like, "See, he was a grown man and she was a baby blablabla..." They never met and he didn't even know she existed, chillleeeeee 🙄

Ain't no way I'm going to let the annoying rats dictate how this story goes! 😤I loved the idea, and I am a sucker for a villain accidentally doing something nice 😂

I really enjoyed creating all the designs for this episode!! I hope I can do a bit more of these kinds of things in the future, because I've always been so curious about Domino before the fall. I know we technically know what it was like thanks to the newer seasons, but I don't like it lol.

And Bloom is now even more confused about her handsome wizard, which is always a good time 😆 Will she now see him in an entirely new light? Will she be able to see that not everything is black and white, good and evil, but that there are many shades of grey?
