Update (Patreon)
Content
Hi guys,
You know I always try to be transparent with you all, so there is something I have to share with you in regards to the Rivusa Webtoon that was planned. The author and I have mutually decided to put a stop to this project.
The reason for this is that the author and I could not come to an agreement on how much art I would be making for her in a month.
To put it simply, she expected me to draw more for her than I do for my own webtoon. (Impossible basically) She wanted exclusive patreon art every week and a full chapter done each month. I told her multiple times from the very beginning I could not do this and I thought she understood that when I took on this job. There continued to be miscommunication and I had to repeatedly tell her that I am only human and that I simply don't have enough hours in a day to draw that much.
Another incident that happened is that she generated AI images using my art for additional Patreon content. This has since been cleared up and she has apologized for this, but it still left me feeling very betrayed. Especially since she was making money from this.
I feel relieved it's over now and that we parted ways on friendly terms, so please do not leave her any negative comments! My aim here is not to paint her as some sort of villain, but to tell you all the truth of the matter. She was more uninformed than anything else, she just didn't seem to grasp the amount of work a webtoon takes and that artists need enough time to work. She did not have malicious intentions but was more so a little overexcited about her project. That's why I want to make sure, no one goes and harrasses her.
I am, however, truly very sorry if you supported her on Patreon and are now dissapointed. I'll take full responsibility for my part in this and if you did subscribe to her, please let me know and I will give you a refund in her stead.
She is still planning on continuing her webtoon, but with another artist. Although I am not sure if she'll be able to find someone else who can meet these expectations...
Feel free to still support her if you want to, but I will no longer be part of this project.
