Progress is slow while my hands and eyes are calibrating all over again, to the new computer and everything around it... New software environment (Win10, updated PS and new wacom drivers, everything together making the pen feel really different), but also I've got no DVI ports for my old worky monitor anymore (a rare and beloved 4:3 screen) so it's also physically different working on the side widescreen...

It's a collection of subtle details that add up into a huge difference, like if I was trying to draw thru someone else's hands and eyes. :'D It's weird, and I'm too old to adapt fast... But progress is made!

Assuming you have (1) a relatively modern GPU with DisplayPort outputs, and (2) your old monitor is not higher resolution than 2560x1440 (single-link DVI limit), then you should be able to use a cheap passive DP to DVI adaptor to connect to your old monitor.

Hi, Fegu, I don't mean to be annoying or something, just wanted to ask, how frequently do you check your DM's here on Patreon? I'm russian, and so my english is not perfect, i could misunderstand how are things running here :)

Fegu

I go thru my DMs at least once a week and I try to answer to everyone. Are so many notes and questions, and some are confusing and asking for things I don't offer (and english isn't my first language either, so writing long answers takes serious effort and time) so I'm sorry I haven't got to reply yours yet. I'll do my best to answer today. ^^

thanks, I appreciate this!

and yet your work is still super gorgeous! I actually just went through a similar transition myself with a new tablet and completely new program(going from SAI to Clip Studio Paint). It's definitely a trip and takes some time to fully adjust to. It was super rough the first few days and took me a week or two to fully come to terms with everything. Hopefully that awkward phase of adjustment happens quick and you don't feel too frustrated or put off from it all! Sending positive vibes!

Fegu

Thank you! : ) I hope you're happier with ClipStudio now, too!
