The machine is built and on!I chose to do it myself and it was... surprisingly simple?? (compared to the previous computer at least, but the screw-type cpu cooler was a pita to mount in place either way). I give credit to the hardware quality, there's good design points that make home-builds a bit more accessible for the likes of me, who don't do this often at all. So far, pretty happy with the result! : )

It took a few days longer than I wanted to get all the parts, due to short stock in store, but it worked out in the end.

Now what is left is adding proper software here for work, and getting my little Intuos hooked. Hoping that part won't be a headache. I've heard Wacom drivers can be tricky to function 100% right in Win10 (main reason why I didn't wanna move from Win7). It might take some tinkering to get the same response from the pen I've got used to in Win7.

We'll see!

Woooo! New PC! Glad to hear you jammed it all together. Good luck with the drivers-- may it be gracious. XD

Good luck on the finishing touches Fegu! May the software gods bless you and hopefully not curse you with installation woes

Always a big sigh of relief after powering on and everything working! Just started buying new parts for another computer build after... accidentally buying a Ryzen 5 3600 chip. Hope your build gives you many years of productivity!

Fegu

. . . Ryzen5 3600. That's the cpu I installed on mine. Was something wrong with yours?

Fegu

It was a little more exciting (scary??) than Lego, tbh xD Those cpu coolers, I swear they're designed with evil intentions towards newbs.

Fegu

So far it's all working as it should ; v ; Only one scary crash. Crossing fingers for not more of that!

Fegu

And back to work >: D

Fegu

It's been! Waaay simpler than I was fearing, so far the little tablet is working like a charm : D

Fegu

I have only built two PCs in my life, and oh boi I knew a few things better than him before the first time xD

Gembrandt

Nothing wrong, the price was just okayish @ $190 usd. I have a working desktop now but I got an itchy pc build finger and couldn't fight it any longer haha. Had an unused PSU and HDD sitting around. Almost halfway there haha!

They are very cumbersome. But their size is actually something that matters. So, oh well. And yeah it may be more exciting but same thing. Just stick it where it stays haha.

Fegu

Ohh, that's awesome! Make sure you get an x570 chipset mobo, if don't want having to flash the bios of a b450 for that 3rd gen Ryzen
