Japanese bullying is different from American bullying. I’m not gonna say either is worse, but in America if you fight back it usually stops. In Japan, pushing back against it in anyway multiplies it tenfold. They do all these minor inconveniences waiting for you to slip up and do something about it.

I'm so glad they got to have a real conversation and figure each other out better! It's super reasonable for her to have her walls up based on her past, and Minato is absolutely they kind of person who would set off alarm bells for her. On the other hand, you can't live in your trauma and let it dictate your life forever, and I'm glad she recognized that the way she approaches people can lead to misunderstandings. I really want to know what happened with this boy in High School. What we know so far is that they were close, and other girls bullied her because they thought they were dating. Maybe they were and maybe they weren;t, but either way I'm betting he refused to step up and left her to deal with on her own. Really excited to learn more about Miki's role in that too.

not just it, if you push back, they make you look like the bad guy...and now they have the excuse to involve the adults in it and they all collaborate others to make it like you were the one at fault
