If you know how to pronounce xiexie as in thank you. That's it. I guess it sounds like "sheh"

Dana

Red is a wedding colour. The bride and groom wear red in China. Its an auspicious colour.

I find it difficult with Song Yong, because I really like the actor. Its hard to see him in a role like this. But all actors need to do all kinds of roles, and he's good at playing pathetic.

These are the situations I wanted to know about exactly. I told my wife can I be a live-in husband if she gets her two promotions.

Seelia

The red is a traditional color the couple wears during the ceremony. ❤

Seelia

Song Yan is so arrogant. She should've kicked him in the balls and had him thrown out of the yard.

Royal

I will absolutely stick around for 40 episodes lol.

Red is our wedding color!! Not just in old times but modern Chinese weddings too. But trust me, those that are familiar with cdramas WILL sit in for all the episode. 😂

The Fool

We are here for the Peak🤌🏼🔥

The Fool

I will be here for all the C-drama's you decide to watch.

It's kinda weird, but you can pronounce "Xie" as "shit" without the t.

In the scene with the money he's showing Mr Zhao, the reason he seems confused is that they are poor in comparison to him, so this money to him is so little but to a villager, it's actually more than they would usually see. He views it as a small amount but for them could feed them for a year or 2-3 if used sparingly. It shows the mass difference between his nobility and her lack of. Also side note love your reactions, my husband has a lot of the same opinion when he watched it with me. XD

Jordan

I joined for this drama and will stick around for all of it!!! So excited to see someone get into cdramas, and you are hilarious 😂

Apparently he was switched in the early days of production, they had someone else cast as Song Yan and replaced them with this guy. I don't know the details of why but one of the other reaction channels who is more familiar with c-drama mentioned it.

Dana

Ah I see.

The rock looking things are taels of silver which are used as currency and the bigger flatter ones that almost look like a drink coaster are worth 10 taels and can be cut up to create smaller amounts. How they go about it I don't know, but I watch Amimisu who focuses on Chinese history particularly palace events. Fun fact: the falcon on this show is a puppet not cgi. So when it's sitting on someone's arm or leg its an actual puppet. The flying scenes are probably special effects or cgi. Mr Wang is a cool dude, you'll understand him a bit more with the court stuff.

Rinsol20

Ah! I just remembered while watching, the woman giving her the naughty book reminded me of when maomao was sneaking in naughty books for the concubines in season 2😂😂
