This show is slow af compared to others, but for some reason i dont dislike it, i enjoy the characters so far. I do wish we get like a bit more from the lore/world in one of these episodes

My line cook grandma would be REEEEEEEing so much if she heard how shit your parents' seasoning tastes are 😭 and I'm from a country infamous for whitey ass levels of bland food (relative to Asian spicebois & "gourmet" countries like Italy & France etc). I guess American whiteys are even more unhinged than that, if that's the source of the "white ppl can't cook" meme 😂. Actually our food culture is similar to Japan in that there's a focus on high-quality ingredient simple dishes (incidentally this is why I think sushi places seem to pop up like shrooms on rainy autumn, even tho the competition must be hard af given how many dozen+ of them are within X range of each other etc), but w/ whitey levels of spices instead, unlike Japan. I've never thought food couldn't be anything but good tho when eating at grandma or at home. Grandma's stew be bussin fr fr.
