Joe I think the theory about their "world" being underground is more & more true as some people theorized in S1 when the backstory bit for worldbuilding said "the people didn't know light until the fake sky cast by the OG Magia Vander to blockade the Celestial Host", which would be weird as fuck if they weren't underground where it's 90% dark without the fake sky + sun etc, because even in a world w/o a sun, there should be stars giving light at least, which would be weird if there weren't given we know there's other worlds out there, given the dwarves & elves & all that, so their suns should be visible as stars in the sky, like how other solar systems' suns are visible to us as stars IRL. The Celestial Host is clearly light/heaven themed based on the name (which I've always theorized that Finn might be an exiled member of the Celestial Host, given his "tribe" (probably just him, but bullshitting a backstory since he's 500+ y/o as per last episode) is officially titled People of the Light in the intro card when he was first introduced in S1. Kinda sounds sussily Celestial Host coded to me, no? I've seen it in countless series where some exiled member of literally satan world-destroying nation/race by end-game times helps the MC to BTFO the big baddies at the end, purely for their personal vendetta for being exiled to some bumfuck nowhere shithole land/dimension/universe/whatever), so I think if they do end up being revealed to fr be underground, the Celestial Host has probably colonized the surface 100% in that case. Bro fr called Finn shortass, bro's biologically like 7 as per S1 intermission card 😭

I really love when producers take this much care when doing anime-only and anime-exteded scenes, which was a significant part of this episode. Every single one added positively to what was already in the manga, completely rounding out the story of their graduation. It was to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if Oomori Fujino wrote it directly into the script himself.

...and of course Sion would be the first to initiate the applause for Will - Sion doesn't want the cheap-ass victory of defeating Will by going up the tower withi Will being left behind when he deserves to go up the most, and additionally, he can't defeat Will the way he wants (head-on) unless Will goes up the tower.

This is so cringe. He passed because they kinda like pitied him by clapping when he saved everyone. Nah
