The whole eating bad food and saying it's delicious thing is one of those anime tropes that I think just doesn't work in real life. Like, to begin with, most bad cooks make edible food. More than likely, someone trying to make something like that is going to end up making something that tastes bland or uninteresting or just off - not necessarily gross. But if someone does manage to make something that is actually the level of bad that anime tends to imply? Like on the level of accidentally swapping sugar with salt or similar? There's no way to taste something like that and not make a face. The reality of the situation would just be too different.

Amami’s mom Eri has the same voice actress (Sayaka Ohara) as Carol’s mom from Tomo-chan is a Girl. Both are easygoing mothers to cheerful blonde girls with non-Japanese blood (Carol is fully British while Amami has an American grandmother).

The final light novel which is about to come out, is volume 10. Episode 11 and 12 kinda speed ran volume 3. My guess will be 1 season which is kinda unfortunate.
