Garrett

This first season felt like an intro or setup for the actual story. It wasn't bad, but roughly a month has passed for her, and not much has actually happened besides character intros into the different races with the dwarves being the only ones we actually get to know well.

This season is about Serafina learning about the world beyond her borders, causing a shift of her worldview and resolve. Then of course she has to face her own kingdom head on.

I love that Cersei "tried" to stop Sera from venturing to be with Veor at the springs.

Joe you saw in E1 that Illdoren also has guns, so it's not that amazing. Granted they are flintlocks, but it's probably only a matter of a century or 2 before they get there too. I think the implication is that Sera is a reincarnation of Illdoren. It would make sense why she got so triggered by the mithril vein in the onsen w/ that water dragon that made its debut some episodes ago (where it was monologuing about being glad it chose Sera or w/e). It also explains why the fairies keep referring to her as Illdoren and Veor as Orkfiem (or as red here fully refers to, vessel of Orkfiem), since they did already mention that as sapient natural phenomenon, they are shit at distinguishing individuals, and can only perceive things more or less at collective level (presumably via willpower signatures/mana/whatever shit have you), and she said during the debut that she can barely distinguish people of importance by their faces, and that's good enough for her as the ruler of the spirits pretty much.
