Oh hell yeah another Kamen w

Japanese jokes are hard to understand at times, most of the times they are just cringe af. The Japanese comedian kind of jokes especially, if you remember the scene they do for Takaba IN JJK lol. I personally weren't bothered by it at all. It's a show came out 15 years ago after all and I like this weather arc very much, so I hope you won't get too detached because of the jokes. At the end of the day you loving it or not, I'm here for YOUR reaction, love to see different people having different opinions on things I love.

Those two idol girls are actual members of AKB48, Japan's #1 idol group (but the big idol groups are weird, where the members don't really have an identity and it's more of a machine. AKB48 has around 200 members with 20 members sharing stage at the time before getting cycled out)

The first episode focused on essentially kids being sold drugs (or dope) and Kirihiko not liking how drugs are killing his city. Kinda like our cities. They even sharing needles and stuff.

20:26 "Akiko!!!" (Raises hand in anger) I love the way the suit actor plays W as two different people. The Shotaro half getting mad, while the Philip half calms him down. Same bit when Shotaro prevents Philip's half from killing Nasca. Good physical acting. This is the same suit actor that played Kamen Rider Build as Build too.

Good catch connecting Drive to Accel! It's not necessarily due to popularity though. Kamen Rider Drive's writer is the same writer as Kamen Rider W. Like Ryu here, Shinnosuke (the main Rider in Drive) is also a cop. Personally, I like Kamen Rider Drive better than W (though I love W for nostalgia reasons). Drive's format is completely different because it's more of a serial drama, where W is purely episodic. Drive gets a bit darker too. (Drive's big weakness is that it starts off as a heavy handed toy commercial for the first 8 episodes, but the purpose of that was the writer wanted to get Toei and Bandai's toy obligations out of the way to tell a better story, and the story does get great. Zeztz has a similar necessary problem in front loading the show with the toy commercial so the rest of the show can be a better drama)

There is such thing as over coddling and toxic parenting. There's a very famous KDrama that I'm surprised you haven't covered yet that goes into this where you actually have a father going above and beyond to defend his serial killer son (it's a matter of time before you eventually do this drama). This is something in real life too, where parents will love and defend their kids no matter what.
