In the show, Master Zhenshi (literally means "pillowing on stones". The name depicts hermit-scholars live a pure, poetic lifestyle in nature) is introduced as a fragile/weak scholar who has never practiced martial arts, the joke is that Peter Ho (the actor) is famous for playing heavily-muscled warriors and general in historical dramas. I love the scene of them chatting under the moon, it's so cute and beautiful, it shows they truly are people who share same values, and serves as a reminder of the true essence of marriage, how staying connected and free of rifts requires active mindfulness and healthy boundaries. They were both able to do this in this episode.

Yeah it was great to see Peter Ho being only a scholar.

The simple version is that your main canals lower the water level of the river giving it more capacity during the flooding season. You also build dry canals to direct water away during the flooding season. Then reservoirs and blah blah blah are all part of it.

Canals also reduce flooding by diverting excess rainwater from easily flooded areas into canals, which carry it to rivers, reservoirs, or even dry regions that need the water. In other words, they help prevent flood damage while making better use of water instead of letting it go to waste.

in asian terms, he's very very jacked. its still quite uncommon for chinese actors to really bulk up big still, they train and they're often slim fit, but Peter Ho is definitely of the bulkier builds.

Light Angle

Peter Ho as Master Zhen Shi is contradictory to his usual masculine roles which brought a giggle to his fans. He recently made headlines, being compared to Marquis Wu'an who looked flawless upon his return from death's door but Peter looked absolutely tore up in his role in King's War. In my opinion his best movie was Sword Master. It's an ode to a HongKong film called Duel to the Death, remembered to this day as a Hong Kong film's favorite. It's about an assassin dieing of cancer. He seeks to be the top swordsman, to leave his mark. He challenges all kinds of masters to duels only to find out the #1 master had died so he gives up or so he thought! An epic duel takes place on a majestic mountain top. Everyone who loves a good martial arts film should see it. My favorite Peter Ho movie.
