Hey all,

It's day four without any health concerns and I'm on fire, busily making stuff for all you fine folk. Next up on the content list is a Fifth Edition/BFRPG rules supplement. The only trouble is, I'm not sure what to make except I kinda want to remake Birthright (intrigue, politics, etc.).

In the comments below, give me an idea of the kind of 5e rules supplements that you feel you could use for your games. Once I have a full enough list, I'll see what I can muster. And if replies are short or there's nothing that really grabs me or others, I'll just default back to Birthright.

Birthright would be awesome! I also need a jungle setting to connect with Desert of Dread.

A set of rules that take place on a weekly timetable to manage the lands of a feudal lord. Recruiting, development, and crops, as well as paying taxes to the higher lords and mustering fighting men for defense or to march for conquest.

I agree with Glenn Lawson. Some stuff to ~ish do some dnd esque. https://paizo.com/store/pathfinder/adventures/adventurePath/kingmakerap I would love more/higher on my list something funny/holiday esque time ruleset for a scenario of when ya get together with the uncles, aunts, nephews around turkey in nov/dec. or some rules that make some entertaining rules for a mini game around christmas just adding rules into the mix to make it more entertaining :) idfk Maybe every 90 minutes the spell the evil wizard's krampus spell rotates to someone else making them evil to do something entertaining/chaos...the prior person becomes santa claus giving gifts to do something also entertaining and a 3rd person/last person that used to be santa becomes super duper little has to role play a tiny squeky child's voice for the next 90 minutes

I give my players the option of doing melee damage that is intended to knock the foe out instead of bringing them to zero Hps.

I really loved the War Machine from the D&D Rules Cyclopedia. Functional Kingdom or Fiefdom rules would be great. "You have claimed a tower." Now what? and rules to support that type of campaign. AEG did a pretty good job with their Empire book (d20) but it quickly became cumbersome.

Shawn Porter

Lingering diseases that cannot be cured with a spell, but only through special rituals (which require certain rare herbs, of course). Harsher healing rules, and more use of Exhaustion. Example: I have certain undead inflict a level of exhaustion rather than temporary HP loss; much more terrifying.

Kevin Stanley

Rules/ideas on owning land and renting it out, attracting henchmen/followers. Something to spend the gold you find

marios konstantinidis

-Potion and poison recipes - monster parts and how to use them - vehicle builder and fighting rules for vehicles - martial maneuvers not only for fighters but for all martial and meele fighters - spell combo rules and magical damage effects

Frank Moore

I don't need rules, per se. What I need are tools that can help me manage in-game time better. In short, I need an in-game calendar tool.

Bill Winski

1) Better/more complete rules for "Rests" 2) Coherent rules for "Hexcrawls" 3) A complete "Battlesystem" that could be played as a tabletop game as well as abstract 4) An exhaustive price list for mundane items...

Roosevelt Cooper

I would be interested in Birthright so make that. As for a rules supplement I would be interested in, a way to simulate combat.

Calli Tahmo

rules for things like heat stroke, frostbite and similar exhaustion style mechanics would be really helpful for folks gaming in environments that arent the usual green pastures.

Mutt

All of this and Long term spells like wards and traps that are connected to the lay line and don't need constant support from the caster. Something like what Dresden uses to protect his house. I'm not sure if the rules exist for stuff like kineticly charges rings that you can trigger at different power levels for melee., basically objects that can be charged and then later triggered for a specific use like fire bolt, ice bolt, Kinetic energy, and so on. My think is currently broken down to working outside in the heat this morning. I might think of other stuff later.

I know we haven't seen the actual product(s) yet, but I would pay a few bucks to have the changes from the new PHB extracted and described. Even with copyright issues to be skirted, it would help to know what WotC is doing to unbalance my games, and what I can do to avoid that.

Chuck Sherman

Back in the AD&D days, there were books that went into detail for the different races and classes. (The full set was never completed.) Something similar would be useful to players, especially with the plethora of new races from WotC that seemingly nobody knows how to roleplay well...or at all.

Conversions to 5E (old adventures/styles). psionics-anything.
