Hmm....wonder if Vader has contemplated how snagging Ventress gives him an in for allying with Mother Talzin's crew. Certainly having Grievous on a leash means a much smaller chance of the Witches of Dathomir being wiped out.

I want the shock of her discovering the truth and that needs time to properly simmer. For her to make her own assumptions and conclusions and have them completely overturned and surpassed.

Instant gratification is great and all, but better to keep the secret a while longer. Let Ventress create fantasies about her new Master, build a bond, cultivate urges, and then when all of it is at its peak, you pull back the curtain. It's far more interesting than the plain 'Whaaat?' reaction it'd get out of her now. As a side note, loving Vader's aura farming. I am a sucker for stories that explore how powerful Anakin could have been if he hadn't allowed his own arrogance deprive him of his limbs and skin tissue, and the fact that this version of him let him still have that experience and learn from it is doubly great.
