9 mins early but I'm not complaining

gigamans

It's in character that he'd think with his dick, but god damn he is so dumb for fucking Asha with the intention of getting her pregnant. Not even just a kid, his firstborn. Good lord he's as dumb as Bobby B...

pavbpabv

Let him eat the dragon

Potato

Imagine the drowned god had absolutely no clue what's going on and he literally only occupies like a tiny bit of that ocean

TheSinful

Sea serpent: "Dude, I just wanted you to stop causing a ruckus in my yard. Wtf bro?"

TheSinful

Like one fic where every creation myth only applied to that specific region. Thor was the god of thunder, but he only caused thunderstorms in the region he was worshiped. Zeus caused them in Greece, so on and so forth

TheSinful

Well, he's literally making a law that the child can't inherit

Boyo

I low key feel bad for the sea dragon

DeerHeart

I choose to believe it was the Drowned God's presence because as vitrumite for him to feel the pressure it had to be either something supernatural or something way higher then regular sea floor pressure. If he went as deep as the Mariana Trench or even deeper maybe.

Boyo

This story is (obviously) leaning heavily into the smut. Getting Asha pregnant was hilariously stupid, but any protagonist in a story like this one will solely think with their penis.

Potato

Im more just thinking their are no gods and their just old powerful sorcerers possing as gods

Sammy the Shark

Very nice. Tbh, I almost feel sorry for the sea dragon, bro woke up, asked the noisy land dweller to leave, and got turned into a pool noodle for it lol

Lord Sesshomaru

Seeing Axel flying/floating always makes me so happy ❤️. (I don't know, but it gives me a lot of Omni Man vibes 🤷🏻‍♂️) Especially considering that all this blood/battles are making him more and more of a Viltrumite. Regarding your two answers, I'll just say: Poor Sea Dragon 💔. He didn't seem like an "enemy" to me at all, more like an ancient and very intelligent beast trying to drive away this other monster that's causing small calamities 🤔. If he were a son of the Drowned God, why waste time taking Axel out of his Habitat? Yes, Axel, the fight was spectacular, but this time you screwed up a bit 😂

Halo3vsloz's Emporium

I think it's funnier if Axel is having a schizo meltdown at the bottom of the ocean and just beating up random sea life that he riled up.

Chainsword83

Honestly considering he gets to raise the next Lord or Lady of Pyke after they turn 5, and there will be no way for them to inherit anything other than the Iron Islands, and considering he's gotten his future Queens' blessing to fuck and even impregnate Asha, I don't see the problem as much here.

Volodya

The likelihood that after causing a massive pressure wave that a bunch of sea creatures would suicide charge him is really unlikely, so I choose to believe the Drowned God tried to kill him. After all, he was able to reach Euron when he was really far from the iron isles.

Cambrian

his sacrifice to save the Iron Islands will not be forgotten :v

Chainsword83

I choose to interpret that as the Drowned God picking up the gauntlet Axel threw down, cause otherwise Axel was just being a careless asshole here. But if he really just browbeat a god into compliance, well then that's a worthy endeavor. Here's hoping those waves die down before they hit the other side of the Sunset Sea. Also, awesome flex on the Ironborn: "Oh you thought me killing the KRAKEN was impressive? Lookit what I caught while I went fishing. Here Asha, present for you." Although, that WOULD be quite the present. Think about it, the Sea Dragon is massive and can resist the pressure down that deep. It's scales might just make some kickass armor, either for people or applied to the hulls of ships.

Shivrah

I for one hope to see a council of gods meeting to handle axel with the drowned god saying "fuck that"

Chainsword83

Especially since I can see a LOT of salted and preserved Sea Dragon meat in the Iron Islands future, as well as LITERAL scale mail.

Racenrise

Id rather believe the second choice, if only because Axel is a bit of a himbo and its funnier, its probably the first though.

redhawktiger

Personally, I'm thinking there is more drowned god and Eyron was simply fucking crazy lol. Storywise....i hope I'm proven wrong lol

Sith2go

Axel is the proverbial poodle shitting on the bulldogs lawn. Only in this case that poodle has got that dawg in him.

Ofunu

"Or two, Axel just went and picked a fight with a bunch of sea creatures while mistakenly thinking that ocean pressure was the Drowned God’s ‘presence’ as well as accidentally causing a tsunami in the process." I choose this interpretation, because it is just so hilarious to think that Axel believe he fought a demigod when in reality he is just being a dumbass,

Eric Lachance

Bro, slapping an incoming Tsunami with a sea serpent is quite an epic feat. I didn't know I'd ever write such a sentence!

Nuugis

Peak.

Alun Lewis

Holy...fuck...Axel just bitch-slapped a tsunami? With a massive sea serpent?! I'm voting for everything Axel experienced underwater and the tsunami as efforts from the Drowned God to smite the Seven's co-opted Champion...just for the hope of more epic kaiju fights 😀

RichterQ87

As some of the others have said, I'm inclined to believe that the Drowned God sent them. It makes no sense for sea life (with the exception of the Sea Dragon) to attack him in that scenario considering the massive pressure waves Axel was creating without them being influenced. Not to mention, I highly doubt all those creatures get along with one another, so the fact that they all Avengers Assembled to try and take him down is very telling. I take it to be another test of his capabilities. One big ass kraken wasn't enough, what about several, with just about everything else the sea had to offer? The only thing I'm iffy on is whether the Sea Dragon was a part of the forces being sent. It's clear it was intelligent and just wanted Axel out of there instead of trying to fight him, and there's not necessarily any reason for the Drowned God to have the Dragon boot him out of there unless he's hiding beneath the surface of where Axel was stomping down, which I doubt. In either scenario though, I'd say the result is probably the same and the Drowned God got the message loud and clear, whether he was responsible for sending the sea life after him or not.

RHar

I've never been able to tell how much of ASOIAF's deities are at all real, and this frankly did not clarify anything.

Hadrian Scipio

I like the chapter. I like option one where he reached an understanding with the Drowned God. The Drowned God seems like someone who respects strength, I also think he saw Axel show respect. I hope the Drowned God plays this up as them reaching an agreement.

Papa Aeon 7210

Wow I subscribed again because this series was good and 72 ended on a decent note, 73 was an immediate nosedive. Omega cringe dialogue
