Yeah, i can see why Celine was so adamant nobody see Rumi’s patterns. And the huntress bond was described as soul deep. Having to kill part of yourself like that? Damn.

So Jia had a personality close to Zoey but with more ruthless zeal and Celine was a Mira personality. You put Celine in a quite sympathetic light, she just lost a bandmate/sister and have to end the second one to save an innocent life. Being how she is is understandable, sure could have done different thinks, do better but there is no precedent.

Not just Ruthless Zeal, but also Broken Zeal at that point. Jia took losing Mi-yeong just as hard as Celine did, but she didn't get to hold Mi-yeong as she died in her arms or have the promise that Celine made to hang onto. And so when she realized what Rumi was... well...

I just want to say that I found this chapter to be very well written. The dramatic buildup to this scene was well done and the way Celine was broken by everything feels very well done for how the scene was crafted, especially with how fast these chapters are coming out.

I'm really starting to wonder if the soul mate style bond that forms between members of a Hunter trio is deep enough to automatically make them bi and into each other on ALL levels...but it wasn't until HUNTR/X's generation that the world would be accepting enough of such a relationship. I mean...Jia's reaction to losing Mi-yeong and discovering Rumi has demon blood, to me, feels very much like a person already struggling to cope with losing someone she loved both physically and mentally/emotionally discovering that said other half cheated on her and had a kid with an utterly despicable being. Her mind snapped...unable to handle the idea of not being enough and Rumi being proof of that emotional betrayal...and she couldn't let that stand. Though I do wonder what Jia would have done if Celine hadn't been able to keep her away from Rumi's crib and she discovered that her battle-axe could only cause minor wounds to Rumi due to her human soul and lack of shame almost completely negating the Honmoon weapon...wakeup call that Rumi isn't something she should kill as a Hunter, or switching to more conventional methods? In any case...at least the girls - and Jinu? - will be there soon to help get Celine to rights and show her that Jia's behaviour was an outlier.
