"It’s not industry standard Not even in the year 2025." Missing a period

Goddamn. Ain't this chapter a 4 gauge slug to the heart.

I can definitely see this being the actual cannon back story. Or atleast something along those lines. Its either this. The much darker option of it being forced. Or maybe like a third faction of "good demons" type of thing. Or maybe like rumis mother making a deal to be able to have a baby or something

RandomDwarf

who let the onion ninjas in?!? but damn punch to the gut, one dad who was doing everything he could to protect the one he loves, even to the point while being broken by the fire-head, he still tried to get her to run. Perhaps she could have lured him away to the other sisters, perhaps another chance could be taken...but Rumi is *Definitely* her parent's ultimate retribution, a Half-demon that Gwi cannot control, cannot beat, and certainly cannot fully understand.

I think doing this chapter without a discrete flashback was the right choice. Keeping the scene in the present, while only occasionally dipping into Rumi's imagination, makes this scene about their feelings about what happened, instead of just showing what canonically happened, so much more emotionally affecting. When The girls storm the underworld to kill Gwi-ma once and for all and save Junho you can show what was happening from Junho's pov.

That last line.... You feed off of fear, don't you Cam?

I don't subscribe to the whole 'demons come back from being killed by hunter weapons' fanon tbh. So when Celine killed Junho with her spirit swords, she FULLY killed him.

I called part of it, but I wasn't expecting him to be the manager. Looks like both her mother figures have similar taste in guys.

I really like that concept that Rumi's dad was actually the manager for the sunlight sisters and he fell because he was trying to protect them from the industry

TheSinful

I mean, the movie establishes like 10 minutes in that demons killed by their weapons are dead permanently. They killed those demons on the plane and only one who fled managed to return to Gwi-ma

Alun Lewis

Junho might be "dead", in his sense of not being corporeal anymore after getting killed by Celine's spirit swords, but...I wonder if the fact he had been a souled human previously, and his first and only act as a full demon was fatally injuring Mi-yeong (but after trying to get Mi-yeong to run away), means something. Like he can't be resurrected...but his essence still managed to become part of the Honmoon and help put Jinu on his redemption path to both give his daughter a happier ending than what he and Mi-yeong got, and help a fellow human corrupted by Gwi-ma's promises of service to him = protection for loved ones get a second chance that Junho didn't?
