Bonus chapter! This story will move to a weekly update schedule once we reach the public release. Until then, we’ll update every Sunday/Wednesday for the next couple weeks. And then just on Sundays after that!

A/N: Izuku wakes back up and starts to learn the truth behind the ancient adage ‘Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems’.

EDIT: For those who missed the edit on Chapter 1, I have decided to make Izuku’s vigilante name ‘Vigil’ instead of ‘Shroud’ so I can use ‘Shroud’ as a different identity he adopts later.

If Izuku was shocked to find out that AFO was the one behind the existence of the League of Villains, then I really want to know how he will react to learning just how much information AFO had about the hero/villain scene and the Quirk Society at large. Not to mention all the plans that AFO had running.

Still not sure about this story, but I do think, after getting all that dumped on him so unexpectedly, Izuku needs to confide in someone, and I can't think of anyone other then Mei he currently has to confide in.

To me mei was always the best female character in mha. She is dedicated to her goals and gives her all to help Izuku. Is fun to be around and also grows up to be a really attractive woman

I'm now imagining a chapter where Izuku confesses everything to Mei and gives her the option to kill him for being too dangerous to let live in an angsty act of self loathing, only for her to breakdown in tears, confess her love to him and they have tender lovey dovey sex on the ashes of AFO. Then the POV smash cuts to Kurogiri waiting patiently in the corner for his next instructions.

Mei needs to know everything about what happened between Izuku & All For One...because she needs to be the safety valve/emergency brake/canary in the coal mine if Izuku's victory over AFO wasn't as final as it seemed. She's known and worked with Vigil for a decade...she's the best person to know if AFO's consciousnes is still floating around inside Izuku's head somewhere. So yeah...full info dump so she can prepare contingencies...and start working on gear that compliments Vigil's newly acquired Quirks.
