It's been a hell of a month so far. By far, last week was the busiest, and fairly nerve wracking. But things still got done, and it finally looks like some of the things behind the scenes that have been an ongoing problem are finally going to be concluded (Or at least my part in them is no longer required).

I've been wanting to get this done for ages. I left it a little more illustrated than I usually do, but I'm trying to get comfortable with a mid-ground between obsessively adding details and overworking things, and having a painted style that doesn't mean every leaf has to be fully rendered with every vein.

I've tried to make the focus on the foreground character, Pan, by keeping her colours a bit brighter. I'm hoping that works.

Still working on the Patron illustration this month, and a commission, but will have a couple other sketches posted before June hits for sure, then it's figuring out which is the next painted image. I might try to pick something more summery.

Perfesser Bear

Pan is such a pretty color anyway. She's standing out in this picture because she's bright and captivates the viewer's attention.
