I made the mistake of listening to the Glass Cannon podcast over the past several days and kinda got into it. I don't really like 'live plays' of TTRPG's but these guys seem to remember the 'game' part.

That said, for some baffling reason, I wanted to remake the hobgoblins in Felwroth. While I played Pathfinder mainly, I never liked the 'baseball mitt with teeth' vibe the goblins and hobgoblins of that system. Mine are still a bit lanky, but have hair and more of a 'skull meets fey' kind of look.

I'll be posting a lot of fantasy stuff (like I normally do). I want to try and figure out the Khettu of 'Wroth too. I'm seeing a Celtic vibe, even if a bunch of sarky foxes running around might drive most people mad.

Still having health problems, but am seeing doctors tomorrow. Still have tremors in the legs, but luckily it hasn't affected my ability to draw (yet, I'm sure something about this will annihilate me). I'm grateful to everyone for their patience.

I treat hobgoblins as a large and sturdy humanoid. Outside of being two meters on average and have tusks and slightly orange skin they are normal humanoids. Culture wise they are similar to Klingons, with a strong defense of family and Honor.

A little while ago I did the worst thing you can do. I started to think. I started to question TTRPG's and found how stifling it has become in many ways. How stifling Fantasy has become. And I'm not talking about that so many are Tolkien based. No, my thoughts go further. This is just one detail, one of many I could list, but everything starts with a world. Why are all fantasy worlds earth-sized? Why not Jupiter-Sized? The outer shell of a Dyson Sphere with a hollow world on the inside? Where are the Discworlds? The World Trees? Literally, like in the World Tree RPG. I'm also playing Pathfinder 1E, but I have my problems with level-based systems. That said, are the elves in TTRPG's really like those from Tolkien? Why can't they walk on top of the snow? What I'm trying to say, You don't like the Hobgoblins as they are depicted? Make your own. :-) And I hope you get better soon.
