Weekly Update: finally getting through the block (Patreon)

So about Halloween in July...

So I finally did something I've been trying to get done for 3 months now: I finished and proofread the script for that goddamned Aliens: Colonial Marines video. I don't know what about that game was so hard to write about, but what matters is that I finally got it done and now I'm recording today (the day before you read this) and I should have it done and ready for Halloween in July by the end of the week. I swear it's like a mental clog being unplugged because now everything else is coming so much easier

Had a funny little oopsie while setting up the project for Colonial Marines. So I've been learning how to use video proxies to edit faster and didn't realize just how much I had for this project. Usually proxies for the last few videos only take a couple house and then I'm good to go. I didn't realize just how much I had put in until I checked my hard drives, realized in the last 6 hours I had created 250GB worth of proxy video files, and that I was maybe a quarter of the way done. Needless to say I cancelled that and have learned a lesson about how I should only proxy the clips I know I'm going to be using a lot. Even after 12 years of doing this I learn new things.

Also, I've filmed and imported all the cooking semgents for HiJ. After I get this Colonial Marines video done the second video just needs the cooking segment added in and then I do the third and fourth no problem. This year's been a bit of a clusterfuck, but somehow it's all coming together.

And for videos you're getting sooner rather than later...

We're going strong on the streams with Dishonored. We completed out Clean Hands run and now we're doing MAXIMUM MURDER so I can contrast low and high chaos. Once that's done I'm gonna buy the DLC and play the Daud Campaigns (I've intentionally NOT purchased the DLC packs yet so I don't end up with all those OP bone charms right out of the gate when I start a new game). I think I'll work on that either next week or the week after next depending on how far we can get in this week's streams. I need to focus on getting those HiJ videos done.

I don't know exactly what I'll do after the Dishonored video but before the start of Halloween in July. I know what I'd like to do, and that'd be System Shock 2 Enchanced Edition, but that's a matter of if I can get that in time to not have it impede Halloween in July. Such is life.
