Hey Saucy Ones,

So BIG SOUP seemed to be the breakthrough I needed for The Abiotic Factor video. Since making and filming it I've been able to not only steam right through the write-up of the cooking segment but also power through the parts of the script that were giving me trouble and get close to ending this thing. I feels a little daring to say, but I think I might actually get the script finished this week if I really lock in and maybe even edited too. I'd really, REALLY like that to be the case as we're in march now and I really need to get something on the main channel.

The way I see if it that if all goes well I finish writing this week, then take Monday and Tuesday to record it, and finally Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday act as edit streams so that I can spend the week after that finalizing and getting Abiotic Factor up for patrons before releasing it on YouTube on the 28th... if all goes well.

Now about Pathologic 3...

We gave up. We got 27 hours deep and then at around the second or third go-round of Day 9 (yes, you need to play through days multiple times on your first run) where we started getting to the ends of quests that basically told us "fuck you, go all the way back to day 2 and replay the last week's worth of days to follow this quest line" we tapped out. This was also hot on the heels of saving and loading the game as well as trying (and failing) to get the dev console to work for an hour straight because a quest whose reward you NEED if you want to save the town was so bugged that it just wasn't completing right or even if it did complete the game would just sometimes... forget to give you the edict as a reward.

I have ideas about why exactly this game was put out in the state that is was, but I do not think that anyone who was sound of mind at Icepick Lodge thought that this game should have been released. At the time of tapping out we were 27 hours deep and as the game implied through the ends of certain quests and the walkthrough I needed to follow mainly because it warned me about bugged quests and potential softlocks that we might have been on Day Nine but we were only on lap one of at least three that you'd need to beat the game. To hell with that. As a point of reference Pathologic 2 takes less than 21 hours to complete on image difficulty.

I actually am going to be going forward with making a video about Patho 3 and I've already organized my thoughts and made an outline on it. It's going to be brutal because frankly someone needs to tell the little emperors at Icepick Lodge that they are parading though the streets in their underwear. I'll get started on that after finish Abiotic Factor and FNV's DLC run.

As for Halloween in July, and anything else.

I'm starting up my playthrough of the first game for HiJ this week while also working on Abiotic Factor. I'm making sure to play it in the evening so it can be nice and spooky. As I've put on the trello board I've got my goal be to complete one of those videos a month so that come July everything is ready to go and I can rest. Speaking of Trello, I'm tinkering with it some more so that it's easier to see what exactly is getting worked on. I think learning how to use that thing is going to be a work in progress for the whole year

Here is a CORRECT link this time

That just leaves the replacement video for Project Zombiod since between how Pathologic 3 is going and how I know VTMB2 is going to be, I'd rather keep a limit on my negativity this year. We'll be setting up the poll early next month and I think what I'm gonna have it be is the runners up of all the previous polls which gives us

No One Lives Forever

Rimworld

Bloodborne

Funny thing about this. Last year I was the tiebreaker for the poll which was in a dead heat between Zomboid and Bloorborne and I chose Zomboid because it was already on my PC and for one, that means I didn't have to ferry footage from my PS5 to my PC with an external hard drive, and for another, I was worried I was getting washed at console gaming because I just kept whiffing parries and dodging stuff I should have easily cleared. I found out while playing Expedition 33 recently that no, I am not washed: my cheap ass TV was just in it's default setting instead of "gamer mode" so the latency was so bad that there was a literal second between my inputs and what I saw on the screen. changing display settings had me hitting every parry with no issues. That means that if I restarted Blodoborne I'd probably have a lot less hard of a time as I did last time around.

That's all for now, stay saucy!
