Hey Saucy Ones,

So I was pleasantly surprised with how decently that planetmans video did over on the second channel despite me taking longer than I'd have liked to do it. Like it took around the same amount of time labor hours-wise, it' just got spread out since I was making a ton of soup for my wife who was so sick she had to call out of work for the whole week.

I'm not sure how much of this is 'fake views' and how much of this is actual interest because while there is a discrepancy in those view counts, the engaged views are still doing much better than a video on the second channel normally would. However, what the hell is this?

Regardless I'm happy how well the video is doing especially considered it wasn't even a collab video with the main channel. I'll be happy if even if the second channel isn't doing main channel numbers it stands on it's own by the end of the year.

Now on the note of Halloween in July Summer of Spookies Fulfillment:

Good News! Now that my wife is all better I can run the heat press which means I'm all clear to start banging these out! More good news! I'm getting the patches TODAY! As you are reading this I've likely already taken delivery of them which means all I gotta do is press out the aprons, stuff em in bubble mailers with the patches, and send em out! I'll easily be able to press all the aprons this week as it's a reasonable number to get through in a week and I don't have much else to do.

I'll start sending the aprons out next week and I'll keep you all updated as soon as they're going out. I also use the USPS and I use their online shipping label system too which means that I can just put the email on your patreon account into the form and it will automatically send you tracking updates. They ask me a lot if I want to use the postal lockers and I tried that out last year but I also got a lot of return-to-senders from those. I think this year what I'm gonna do is only opt into that if the locker location is less than three miles from your address. Now one last time just to be thorough:

PLEASE CHECK YOUR MAILING ADDRESS AND MAKE SURE IT'S CORRECT AND UP TO DATE!!!

PLEASE DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR MAILING ADDRESS AND MAKE SURE IT'S CORRECT AND UP TO DATE!!!

PLEAST TRIPLE-CHECK YOUR MAILING ADDRESS AND MAKE SURE IT'S CORRECT AND UP TO DATE!!!

Now finally onto Cyberpunk 2077.

Unsurprisingly taking care of my wife did not leave a lot of time for video games. I'm planning on getting a session in after I'm done writing this though. I've still got time and I know better than to blow things off because I still have time. Any time I'm not pressing aprons this week I will be gaming... professionally. I'm still having a lot of fun playing when I get the chance and find myself doing every last side quest I can find (that's gonna be a lot of files to organize) because hoooo boy they are a bresh of fresh air after having to deal with VTMB2's side quests. I'm working on unlocking all the cars now. Maybe I'll try doing the racing side quests using the militech APC just to see if I can win by just blowing everyone up.

That's all for now, stay saucy!

It's interesting that you're enjoying all the sidequests. Don't get me wrong, I played the same way, but after finishing the game, I felt like there was a very good story there that was marred by the amount of side quests. I think the game would have been much more cohesive if, instead of trying to be a completionist and leveling up all the skills and cyberware, I would have gone straight for the main plot, maybe with one big sidequest (the companion quests are pretty good). I just didn't feel like racing through all the neighbourhoods was helping in making me feel the urgency that the letter of the main questline was suggesting. I would like to propose you an experiment: first play like an open-world game and do all the sidequests, find all the items, speak with everyone, ... then create a new character, and focus on the main questline, as if it was a movie or a book, where all the actions actually advance the plot. It should be quick, and I think the experience of a cohesive story will give a very different feeling. Instead of hunting cyberpsychos to be a completionist, you'll start hoping you don't find them, since they'll slow you down on the ticking clock. Combat will suddenly become much more stressful, since you've not gathered much equipment, nor you have advanced your skills. I think the story is much better when you're a low level operator that is thrust into the world of corporate espionage, which you're not ready for. I liked Cyberpunk 2077, but I think the openworldness is a hindrance instead of a positive for the overall experience. I think a more focused (but not on-rails) experience would have been much better for the story they're trying to tell. The game is probably a victim of its time, where everything had to be a massive open world (and we're still on that time!), but sometimes, the open world is just to add hours to the playtime without much value, and it's in detriment to what would have been a pretty tight story.
