Midnight Paradise: Prologue - Released for Free (Patreon)

Hey everyone!

The first part of this post is for people who are not Patrons (yet?).Midnight Paradise's development has come to a point where I want to release the prologue of it as a free demo so those who haven't tried it yet can get a taste of how it is.

This time I'm doing proper, smooth animations, hope you guys enjoy it!(Download links at the bottom)

About the the 0.6 Patron release, I'll have some news for you guys later this week. Maybe I can even slip in a new character reveal.

Hmm... You may be due for an apology. Last I played was 0.1.1_beta. I'll check out your latest. Apologies, again.

That's alright, no problem. The game has since been ported to Renpy with all it's convenient features and we have ironed out the bugs. As of 0.5 we have added an objective system that serves as an in-game walkthrough/hint menu. 0.6 will bring even more efficient code with a bunch of added features. (and more new content of course)

Have you at least considered make more games where you play as female? I know you've done one for The Lost Memories, and I know there's a market for these sort of games. I even made a comment about a year ago on retrofitting Dreams of Desire with the option to play as female if you can remember that.

Renpy, huh? Well, that'll do it. I normally avoid all other engines these days... unless I get suckered into it somehow. But Renpy is sooo much better, in every way (that I can tell). Thanks for switching.

When I think about any new game idea a female POV never comes to mind. I'm probably just wired this way, as I don't like to play as a female main character in adult games when I play. Nothing against it, I'm sure there are a lot of good ones out there with female protagonist, it's just preference. And about DoD: remaking the whole game with a female MC would be tremendous work for something I'm not passionate about creating.

You have to guide him to not be a douche by the end of the game :P or to be one... your choice. But I mean if this bothers you, it gets better later.

I am waiting for the full version, but I have 2 questions. Are you planning to post any future games at other times? Ancient Rome? Lots of family "options", well-known characters like Cesar or Cleopatra;) And the second question, is there any chance for guest participation of characters who are very similar to popular people? For Examle Scarlett Johanson, Beyonce, Emily Ratajkowsy? Does Target Rights Exclude This?

As a general rule I try to avoid real world figures. I don't know if it would cause any harm but better be safe than sorry. And about other time periods - I haven't really thought about this, but it's a nice idea. Lewding Cleopatra sounds nice ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) It's possible but I'd have to find some time for side projects like those, time that I currently don't have.

One of the things that brings Renpy games to the top of my list is an image displayed with each saved game. Why did you remove that? To me, that's a downer. It doesn't add enough to the save file to worry about. Please put it back (easily), or add an option for the user to turn it on/off (also easy).

It looks like the image IS saved with the save file, just not displayed. It took me about 60 seconds to change the save/load screens back to standard expectations (some tweaks still needed to account for your Main Menu).

Is there a walkthrough or guide for the game? What level is it available?

There is an in-game hint system for Midnight Paradise. Walkthrough is not yet necessary. For my other game, Dreams of Desire there is a walkthrough at $15 tier with the extra content pack also included.

Some people don’t like that, though. Can’t please everyone I think, but we’ll see if we can make it optional.

Hello Dr. Sin First of all thank you for creating these great games. I am a huge fan. But I have stumbled upon a problem. I cannot figure out how to go to the study or the pool area. They are simply not an option in the room selection bar. Please help.

They show up later in the game, as Joyce says they are being renovated at the beginning. Study will show up as a button and getting to the pool is via clicking the door at the right side in the kitchen. The game notifies you when they are available

Hey @Lewdlab, for some reason the files I downloaded with Mega don't have any video? MP the first scenes when everyones sleeping are just black for me, but all the pictures are here. Any suggestions or a way to fix this? Hopefully you can get back asap, thanks!

Shitty MC really does make games unplayable. Even the MC from your previous game DoD was a douche (night time molestations and whatnot) would be nice to play a normal human being and not a sociopath for once.

hm, that's probably caused by a missing codec on your PC or graphics drivers not being up to date. Codecs used are VP8/VP9 for video and Vorbis for audio (even though the animations don't have sound they still have an audio codec) And they are in a matroska (.mkv) container.
