Ok, this is the point at which I only remember the rough structure of the story... I forgot about the whole "Amara is hungry"-subplot, that Cas is healed that early and that they captured Rowina for a sec xD

Well, there you have it, Jess. Like you said, you went into the episode hoping Castiel would be cured, and the show provided. They were very nice to you this week. More on that in a second. Shared love of the angel and demon at the bar bemoaning the state of Heaven and Hell, which yes, had strong Aziraphale and Crowley (not that one) vibes. Speaking of this show’s Crowley and his scenes with Amara, Crowley with Amara is me if by some miracle I ever have kids and/or I ever become an uncle. Though I do have younger cousins, albeit they don’t feast on human souls, so I don’t envy Crowley that headache. Interesting strategy to show Amara Hitler’s speeches, but then again, considering stuff that I’d likely show to any kids I’d ever hypothetically have, I’m not one who can talk. At all. Crowley is a man after my own heart vis-à-vis encouraging a love of reading. He is dealing with Amara being vague as all hell, which yes, I know your feelings on that. It is still the mystery of what she’s after, and you’re left wondering about that. Going into the season, I kept thinking the thoughts of Amara’s plans: I would assume kill all the unicorns, and as their blood ebbs, the sun sets forever. There shall never be another dawn, and she is then free to bask in the solace of the shadows, and the dark of the night. ...But no, I don’t have any idea about her endgame, I was just speculating. As to Crowley reigning her in, not easy, I would imagine, but doable, especially for someone like Crowley. Again, I don’t know how that plays out, this is mere surmise at this time. Concerning Rowena, who you love her more than I. She is great, she just tests me some. It’s frankly embarrassing how Rowena is so certain that Crowley was killed when she vamoosed before even witnessing any death. I fail to see why she is so shocked by the revelation that her baby boy lives still. It is likewise embarrassing how Rowena possesses the book of the damned, what’s described as one of the most awesome forces the planet’s ever seen, but she wields it like a kid that’s found his dad’s gun. As to the name “Mega Coven”, what she should do is call the patent office, tell them to copyright the name “Mega Coven”, get a quarter every time somebody says it. It is also quite rich of Rowena to blame Sam for not holding up his end of the bargain when she provided the spell bag that she assured would do the job, not to mention the fact that as mentioned, she screwed the pooch on the Castiel killing Crowley business. That’s her fault, so what’s she complaining about by blaming Sam? Honestly. Of course, this is Supernatural, and it is a show that’s not satiated unless Sam and Dean are keeping at least a baker’s dozen worth of secrets from each other. Sidenote about Rowena’s disguise, which I loved your delight of. Took me a second when you said that Rowena’s disguise was serving Moira Rose to understand the reference, I went, “...Serving Moira Ro-Oh. As in Catherine in, yeah. I haven’t seen that show.” You do feel so bad for Castiel going through it. Lovely that he still is trying to help, even if he stumbles on the porn site on, presumably, Dean’s computer, which made me roll my eyes and shake my head saying, “Oh, Jesus CHRIST. Dean!” In the end, Rowena did provide the cure, so I’m glad you were happy about that. So adored how you caught the reversal. It was sweet how Castiel offers apology, and Dean has the turning the other cheek response. Another surprisingly heartwarming moment was Jenna getting mentioned when even Crowley spares a word for Jenna and calls her lovely. Appreciated that. I’m quite happy that you are happy that Castiel is now cured. You are, of course, LESS happy about our heroes trying to find old Booger again. I expected your reaction to the hunt for Metatron would be what it was. One small plus was that Curtis wasn’t listed in the credits, thus saying Metatron wasn’t going to be in this episode, so the show gives you the head’s up and the time to prepare for more Metatron. Me, if nothing else, I got more of Curtis being brilliant to look forward to. See how that goes. All in all, a fun reaction, Jess, thank you.

I imagine Crowley is thinking, “Suddenly, I understand Seymour’s frustrations when he had to keep feeding that bloody plant.” Yeah, quite a bit happened in this episode.
