"What? No, not the mind probe.", Castellan, "The Five Doctors" Ok, that is one of the most infamous lines in Classic Who fandom - mainly the actor's delivery. I couldn't wait for this week's reaction - primarily for your reactions to the cameos - and that was wonderful. So much fun to watch your reaction here - especially for Richard Franklin and Frazer Hines - ouch, that was a shriek! They couldn't get everyone back for major parts but the fact they gave so many cameos was lovely. Last week I mentioned that I had watched the show with the "New Who" team commentary. David Tennant mentioned a nice anecdote (and remember he was a life-long Classic Who fan) - when he was just getting into acting and searching around for an agent he rang round the phone numbers on a list to see if anyone would represent him; one of the people he contacted said they would note down his details and that her name was Wendy Padbury; and as you can imagine how the young David felt at speaking to "Zoe". Sweet. And we see Wendy in this one here. So I did manage to watch the "Companions" commmentary (Carole Ann Ford, Nicholas Courtney, Elisabeth Sladen and Mark Strickson) for prep this time. As with last week, this companions commentary is well worth listening if anyone can get access to it. They were all great - lots of talk of freezing Welsh hillsides and thermal underwear. Of course they all, by this stage of doing the commentary, had worked with each other many times at the various Who conventions. "Freeze, Sarah Jane. If you move, we're dead.", The 3rd Doctor, "The Five Doctors" I like the Raston Warrior Robot - especially the vanishing leap cut - that's very cool and it's pretty nice the way it takes out so many Cybermen. Actually, the costume is a painted version of those android skin-suits from the cave sequence in "Earthshock". And as David mentioned he had noted in 1983 - there's a visible zip down the back. "I don't like this at all. Someone or something wants us to go inside. ... After you, Brigadier.", The 2nd Doctor, "The Five Doctors" Ok, so the week before we had Tegan dressed up as a Yeti. Last week the 2nd Doctor looked like a Yeti. And now we get an actual Yeti attacking 2 and the Brig! "What does this bit mean?", "To lose is to win and he who wins shall lose.", "I know what it says. What does it mean?", The 2nd and 3rd Doctors, "The Five Doctors" The banter between the Doctors in the tomb is wonderful. As is the greeting between the various companions. This is what an anniversary story is all about. And the 3rd Doctor gets to do his "I've reversed the polarity of the neutron flow" line - I love it! I'm not sure I could rank a best Doctor pair - I really do think any pair would be fabulous. "You mean you're deliberately choosing to go on the run from your own people in a rackety old Tardis?", "Why not? After all, that's how it all started.", Tegan and the 5th Doctor, "The Five Doctors" I love this story.

slight error, for some reason ''This Reaction is part of the $20 tier.''

Same here. Received the usual email notification, but the linked URL shows the alert above. I noticed the URL ends in `classic-who-the-five-doctors-part-2-full-reaction-ea/`, so I tried trimming the `-ea` at the end (so it resembled part 1's endpoint); however, it still redirected to the same URL (and same error).

"Nice to see you again!" POW! Well that was fabulous! Been looking forward to your reaction to this one since you started watching Classic Who. It has a special place in many of our hearts, and I'm so glad you took such joy from it. As for Doctor pairings, I think it would be tough to beat the ones we've seen: Two and Three are my favorite, but Twelve and One were also great fun, as were Eleven and Ten. Of pairings we haven't seen (excluding anything from Big Finish), I'd be curious to see an episode with Four and Ten: not just because they're arguably two of the most popular Doctors, but for how their personalities would interact. Four's alien-ness contrasting with Ten's humanity, with both capable of mercurial shifts between humor and gravitas.

Jon's "Scarecrow!" was delightfully ironic, as by this point in his career he'd made another name for himself as the lovable living scarecrow Worzel Gummidge.
