welcome to Casifer! You'll love him lol. Also, this episode, i adore it! You have BAMF Sam Winchester standing toe-to-toe with the being that horrifically tortured him for centuries, whose creations have made his life a living Hell (all puns intended), and who lured him into a trap using the very best part of Sam- his desperate desire to do good, to save people, even at his own expense or discomfort. You also have protective Dean, which is always a blast. That line, "Oh, I'm sorry have you ever met me?" is one of my favorite's of Dean's-his unabashed concern for Sam is so incredible to see, especially after season 10. Not to mention Crowley and Rowena, always a delightful combination! overall just an amazing episode

“Casifer”, huh? Sounds like the lead singer of a Gen-Z hipster band. Yeah, you admire the chutzpah of Sam standing his ground against Lucifer. I love how one part of his rejection of Lucifer is simple facts and logic. Namely, Lucifer had help last time round. Said help is not available, Lucifer’s been in the cage for a while, and SUDDENLY he’s now able to do what he claims he can do. This on top of him calling out Lucifer on being evasive on what exactly he’s going to do after taking care of Amara, leaving Lucifer without a good answer. Very satisfying moment. That line that Dean has, is a good one. Crowley and Rowena do have quite the messed up dynamic, and it is quite something to see.

oh I love Sam using logic to bolster the brazenness of his rejection. Sammy has always been the more logical, thoughtful brother, so reasoning and rationality is basically baked into his DNA. I love that this episode let us see him weaponizing that to do what he had to, without it drawing away from Sam's emotion. The spite, the determination, the terror and the courage Sam has to say No is conveyed beautifully, draped like a flag of honor in Sam's ability to assess a situation, and use facts to guide his decision making. It was Sam's heart and brain working in tandem that gave Sam strength to hold out until Dean and Cas arrived

I guess, Lucifer did have a point. He is the only Archangel left who had the experience of fighting the Darkness before. Like he said, Gabe and Raphel are dead. God is MIA and Michael seems to have gone insane in the cage. It seems like Lucifer is the only option left to beat the Darkness. They should of at least attempted to talk to Michael/Adam, to confirm his condition.
