That episode had one of the most graphic moments of the entire MCU... Wow!

I had figured you’d still be upset following the ending of last week’s episode. I am with you on it would have been nice to have more time with Maria, but then again, given we have multiversal madness and shenanigans that you’ve seen with Loki, What if?, and Spider-Man No Way Home, it’s not entirely in the realm of impossible that we could see her again. Or maybe I’m being too optimistic. I’m just saying there are options they could go with. Now onto the episode. “A bundle of mixed emotions” is perhaps the best way to describe the events thus far. Yes, it intrersting how there is uncertainty of who is or who isn’t a Skrull. I like how Fury is justifiably upset at Talos for keeping the number of Skrulls secret. How he’s yelling, “You already know I’m a hyper-paranoid mushroom cloud laying motherfucker, motherfucker! You’re going to keep something like THAT from me!?” And Talos justifiably counters his options were limited, and to your point, he does have to prioritize what’s best for his people. As you note, a highlight of focusing on the antagonistic Skrulls, and where they’re coming from. I laughed SO GODDAMN HARD seeing Christopher McDonald playing not Bill O’Reilly on not Fox News, and to then reveal he’s secretly a Skrull, meaning he’s going to be playing the parody to the hilt. I’m giggling, praying, “Oh please, PLEASE, if there’s any justice in this world, for the love of God, tell me we get a scene of him parodying the infamous “We’ll DO IT LIVE!” outburst.” I get what you mean in not loving the scene of Fury and Rhodey. From an acting standpoint, I loved it, particularly, how you observed, the sass has reached high levels. Also, yes, Fury doth handsomely sport a nice hat, yes. Now onto the shining moment of the episode, dear beloved Olivia. Oh, she was MAGNIFICENT in her big scene. She went full-on Marathon Man on that guy, and I LOVED IT. I KNEW you’d comment on the needle. I didn’t care for it either, though when Sonya used it, I did quip, “Well, at least she was magnanimous enough to jab the guy in the butt, that’s something.” I also quipped, “Fella, if she breaks out the dental equipment and asks, “Is it safe?” just turn stoolie. Spill everything.” And no, I WILL NOT get sick and tired over you gushing over dear Olivia, because I’m right there with you. Ever since my introduction to her as Doris in Hot Fuzz, I’ve followed Olivia’s career, and have loved it whenever she appears in anything, hence, you wish to carry on about what a beautiful treasure Olivia is, by all means, Jess, you do that. I share you're not wishing her to die at all in this show. And even if she were to do so, again, like I said, multiversal madness and shenanigans. Concerning Mrs. Fury, he did say he was married in Winter Soldier, his missus being a Skrull was a bit surprising. I also chuckle some that one, I recognized Charlayne Woodard by just her voice prior to her being seen sans Skrull makeup, and two, being amused at the thought of she’s gone from being the mother of Mr. Glass to the wife of Nick Fury. Loved the Otis Redding at the end, and I loved you dancing a little to it. Thank you for another most enjoyable reaction, Jess.

Right now my big question is, why exactly do the Skrulls feel like they need to take over Earth any more than they already have? They're important world leaders, major media figures, and there's a million strong army ready to smack down any resistance to them. What more do they need to do?

Ironically enough, I first saw her in the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary spoof special, where she and Sean Pertwee wonder why they're not in the actual special because "I'm usually in everything."
