Yeah, Jess, your reaction to the episode title was shared by me. I said, “I’m sorry, what now?” Consequently, I am with you being on guard with this episode. This episode was... uncomfortable... on a few levels. I held a similar expression as you did, saying, “...What in pluperfect hell is this episode?” My brain’s overcooking itself a mite trying to phrase things properly, so I’m not going into more detail on that. Like I mentioned on youtube, I think you summed it up perfectly, Jess, especially how you said about setting the discomfort aside, the characters just weren’t all that interesting, leading me to observe, “I don’t think I can improve on that.” As someone who’s not a dog person, I don’t much care for the show giving Dean shit for not being a dog person. I did like hearing how you said you liked the scenes of Sam and Dean and your relating to the topics in question. On related subjects, I liked your suggestion of a dance-off being one of the next trials, that wouldn’t be too bad. I also kind of liked the opening discussion between Sam and Dean about Curly versus Shemp. I personally could go either way. Moe is my favorite Stooge. My dad was a Shemp man himself, so he would have sided with Sam on that one. All in all, though far from being the strongest episode, it was still an enjoyable reaction, thanks, Jess.
