Yay! You’re here! What an ending, eh? Looking forward to watching this one later. 😉

As is probably pretty obvious, Filoni intended at the time to follow this up with another animated series about Ahsoka and Sabine searching for Ezra. But then came the whole thing with Disney unexpectedly giving Clone Wars a final season, which led to making The Bad Batch, along with his move into live action with The Mandalorian, and he just didn't have any time for it. Luckily, he did eventually get to make the Ahsoka live action show to get those plans out, even if in a compromised form with only eight episodes to work with. I still really liked it, and I'll just say, prepare to scream a lot.

As with the Clone Wars finale, I like to think way back to the start of the animated star wars journey where you weren't even sure if you should watch it or react to it. I think we're all glad you kept with it.

Yeah, you could tell the story was set to continue, then Clone Wars got its final season greenlit. From what I heard, generally speaking, most fans were receptive to the Ahsoka show, which I really enjoyed. My brother and sister in-law, despite my direct insistence that they watch Clone Wars and Rebels first, they jumped the gun, and watched it, and they also enjoyed it. Minor quibbles on my brother’s end, but generally positive opinions I heard from them. I’ve heard complaints, largely from what I discussed with some people, the compromised form with only eight episodes to work with. Which didn’t bother me much, but I got where others were coming from. Cannot wait to see Jess react to Ahsoka. Hopefully Bad Batch once that’s done.

Just like Bo Katan and Ashoka’s appearances in The Mandalalorian, they do a great job of giving people going in cold the bare bones of what they need to understand the characters’ place in the story currently being told, and hopefully get them interested enough to check out Clone Wars and Rebels. That’s how it worked with me, as I’d never had the slightest interest until everyone went nuts over the Darksaber in the Mando S1 finale. Of course, their all being conveniently collected on Disney+ also helped.
